How We Met
By the grace of the Elon schedule makers, Jackie and Joey were placed in the same orientation group their first day at Elon. It would take over a year for Joey to prove to Jackie that he was more than just good looks and a charming demeanor.
The Proposal
Joey proposed to Jackie at the Cliff House Hotel in Cape Neddick, Maine. Just 30 minutes up the coast line, you can find Moody Beach, where four generations of the Tilton family fell in love with Southern Maine.

Weather permitting, we'll all be gathering under the trees at Flanagan Farm to witness Jackie and Joey exchange their vows in front of the people who mean the most to them! There is limited parking on site. Please take advantage of the provided transportation service that is collecting guests from the Aloft and AC Marriott at 3:30.

Question
Should we rent a car or rely on Ubers, etc.?
Answer
Those not traveling in by car should expect ride-share app availability when in downtown Portland. There will be little to no Uber availability from Flanagan Farm on Saturday as it's in a remote setting.

Will welcome drinks and the wedding be open bar?
Answer
Yes, both events will be open bar.

Will their be food served at Welcome Drinks?

There will be small appetizers served, but we do recommend eating dinner beforehand.

What is "Garden Attire"?
Answer
Given the forecast Friday night, we’d recommend (although not require) a jacket/blazer. Nice pants, collared shirts, and decent shoes are expected. Ladies, think elevated sundresses, with something for your shoulders as we will be outdoors at night. DiMillo’s is on the water overlooking the Harbor.

What is "Summer Formal Attire"?
Answer
Men, please wear a suit and tie. Women, please wear a formal (not black tie) dress and shoes that you'll be comfortable in when walking through grass.

When and where do the shuttles run on Saturday?
Answer
We will have shuttles do pick-ups at the AC Hotel as well as the Aloft Hotel in downtown Portland. Pick-up time is set for 3:30pm from both hotels to the wedding venue, with return shuttles occurring at 10:00pm and midnight back to both hotels.

Will there be an after party?
Answer
We will not be facilitating a formal event after the reception. If you want to keep the party going, head to the cluster of bars between Wharf and Fore Street. Most are open until 1 am. Weather permitting we are looking forward to a late afternoon beach day. If you're not too wiped out from Saturday's festivities, please join us!

Family history and sandwiches at Amato's
Jackie’s maternal Great Great Grandparents, Giovanni and Michelina founded Amato’s in 1902. John Amato (Papa), Jackie’s grandfather, worked in the original India Street storefront through high school. Jackie has many fond memories of Papa making Italians throughout her childhood. Nothing beats an “Original”!
Boat tour on Casco Bay Lines
Hop on the Mailboat Run! The locals’ favorite way to experience Casco Bay – this true working boat carries passengers, mail and freight to Little Diamond, Great Diamond, Long, Cliff and Chebeague Islands. Tour duration runs 2.5-3.5 hours.
Meal at Central Provisions
A Portland hot spot for dinner and brunch. Small plates and delicious flavors! Stroll around picture perfect Old Port while you wait for your table.

Their breakfast is great but their bloody mary selection is even better.
Lunch at Duckfat
Worth the wait but if you’re pinched for time, The East Ender, next door is a solid back up plan.
Sunbathe at Scarborough Beach
Sandy beach less than 20 minutes from our room blocks. There’s a public parking lot if you’d rather pay to park than take an Uber.

The Portland International airport is just a 15 minute car ride to the Waterfront and Old Port where our hotel blocks are located.

Boston Logan Airport will have the most flight options and is just under a 2 hour drive to Portland, Maine where our hotel blocks are located.
Train
Amtrak Downeaster
Skip the holiday weekend traffic and catch the Amtrak to Portland, Maine. The station is less than a 10 minute car ride from Old Port and the Waterfront where our hotel blocks are located.

A more upscale option that is less than a 10-minute walk from our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Drinks location. While we won't be providing transportation directly out of this hotel, it is less than a 15-minute walk through downtown to either the Aloft and/or AC Marriot where our shuttle services will be running through on Saturday night.

Shuttles will pick up and drop off from the AC Marriott and Aloft Hotel in downtown Portland. Once at the venue, you will have difficulty securing an Uber, Lyft, etc., so we suggest using the shuttle service. They depart from Downtown Portland at 3:30pm and will be returning at 10:00pm and 12:00am (midnight).
