We met each other one evening at Tiffany's Papa's house. Her sister, Shaylee, was having a party (to this day Papa doesn’t know his granddaughter was throwing a party) when the doorbell rang. She answered the door to Shane and a group of his friends, of which only two she recognized. Against her better judgement, she let them in the house. After a while, Shane tried to talk to her. Tiffany had her dog, Dakota, who didn't like guys so she wasn't exactly nice to him. Shane, being a dog lover, spent the rest of the night trying to befriend Dakota and apparently Tiffany. At the end of the night, Shane was too shy to ask for her number, but made his friend, Kolb, ask Shaylee, luckily she obliged. Almost 14 years later, they've not only befriended every animal in their life, but captured each others hearts in the process.

Much like the night we met, Shane proposed on the door step of Papa's house. It was nine o'clock at night when Shane text Tiffany that he needed the front door opened to help bring a package in. Being that she ignores her phone often, she didn't receive his message. A minute later, the doorbell rang. Against Tiff's better judgement, she went to answer the door and continued to let Addie, our dog, bark to hopefully scare away the unwanted night visitor. When she answered the door, Shane was kneeling on the ground. All she could think about was, "Why is he just kneeling there? No package could possibly be that heavy." When she looked up and saw the diamond ring she than became confused. She was so stunned (wouldn't you after 13 years!) all she could get out of her mouth was "What?!!!" After the initial shock, and Shane reminding her that she never said "yes", she finally did!
