It all began at Woodbridge mall. Monique and Damar met while helping Monique's best friend open up a clothing store. Initially, things were kept causal. Both at the age of 22, partying, hanging with friends, and going to T.G.I.Friday's in Watchung on Route 22 were top priority. The first group outings set the tone for the next steps to come. As time passed, Monique and Damar hung out more and decided to date officially. Well, unfortunately this isn't where the story ends. Things ended and they both went their separate ways. A few years later, it was mutually agreed to give it another try. This time around entailed lots of traveling, adventures, and eventually moving into an apartment. From there, they received their best gift yet; having their son Landon. At this time, their priorities became family, spending quality time, and ensuring a future for their son. Once Damar asked for Monique's hand in marriage, all things came ten-fold. Now, they are looking forward to joining as one with the presence of all their loved ones. And they couldn't be any happier having found one another again and building an everlasting life together!
