TRAVEL + VISA REQUIREMENTS

Visa -- If you have a passport from the UK, USA, New Zealand, Canada: Simply disembark your flight at Dubai International and proceed to immigration, where your passport will be stamped with a 30‑day visit visa free of charge. If you have a passport from India: Visa will be required. Please check the following site for the steps to obtain the tourist entry here → https://www.emirates.com/us/english/before-you-fly/visa-passport-information/uae-visa-information. Generally speaking, if you have a US or UK visa or residency, you can get a visa on arrival. Airports -- There are three international airports for you to choose from: Dubai International Airport (DXB), Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport (AUH), and Sharjah International Airport (SHJ). We typically take the direct Emirates flight to DXB! Etihad is another good option as is Qatar airways. Once you are confirmed for the wedding, our RSVP coordinator will be reaching out to get information on flights for pick ups and hotels.

S/O Uptown Dubai - https://so-hotels.com/en/uptown-dubai/ This will be the main hotel where the families from both sides will be staying. We will have cars or shuttles available from here for airport pick ups, travel to venues, and sightseeing. Below are a few more options for you to consider. 1. La Suite Dubai - https://world.nh-hotels.com/en/nh-collection-dubai-la-suite This is another recommended option especially for longer stays given its proximity to the Dubai Metro. Information about transportation, including shuttle services to/from airports and venues and parking details, will be provided closer to the event date. Our hospitality team will be in touch with you directly to help coordinate transportation based on your flights closer to the event.

Answer
The suggested attire for each event can be found on the RSVP tab - we have included a mix of casual, semi formal, and formal Western and Indian attire. For those looking for Indian outfits, we recommend checking out Etsy, Kalki Fashions, Pernias Pop Up Shop, Aza, Lashkaraa, ASOS & Kynah. We are volunteering ourselves, Gita and Deveena if you have any Qs about the different styles of clothing (Lehengas, Saris, Anarkalis, Kurtas, Shararas etc.) or want #inspo for 'fits. Overall, have fun with the colors, patterns and styles and dress in a way that makes you feel your best 🫶
