Lake at the base of Sopris. We love to paddle board in the summer up there and Maebys favorite place to swim. You need a high clearance car to get there.

Thomas Lakes

One of our favorite hikes about 8-9 miles out and back. Lots of wild flowers and the lakes are nice to cool off in before hiking back down.

Aspen Gondola

Aspen, CO 81611

You can purchase tickets to ride the gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain. There is a bar at the top and sometimes live music on Saturdays.

Maroon Bells

Popular tourist attraction right outside of Aspen with beautiful view of two peaks and a lake. We have moose there and lots of wild life. Short shuttle ride followed by a short hike.

Woody Creek Tavern

Woody Creek, CO 81656

Famous tavern where celebrities would frequent, notably the author Hunter S. Thomas. Good Margs and bar food with lots of cool art on the inside.

FAQs

Question

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

Answer

Our wedding venue is in Carbondale and next to two hotels. We have blocked off a few rooms at the comfort inn for our guests to stay. Call and make a reservation to get the discount! The other hotel is the Days Inn. There are also many airbnb's near by in Carbondale.

Question

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

Answer

There is parking at Spring Creeks but if your staying at the hotel's you can walk to the ceremony.

Question

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Answer

Mountain Formal. The ceremony will be outside in the sunshine and the reception will be inside a barn and dancing with be outside under a pavilion. That said, when the sun goes down in Colorado it gets chilly quickly!
