We met at Clinton Skating Rink. I had no intentions on skating that night. I had swore off men and I had told God I was not going to date for the next 10 years. I guess God had other plans. My friends called me and pleaded with me to come out with them that night to skate and after few moments of going back and forth, I decided I would. Roller skating is my stress releaser and I thought why not!. I know many people speak of love at first sight, well When I seen him that night I just knew he was the one. I truly was in love with him before we even knew each other's name. We dated for over a year, before he proposed to me at one of our favorite parks. We had so much in common, I thought that he could have been a long lost relative, that I was about to marry. So I went to work one day did a full background check on him.

While dating John and I realized that we had so much in common, from Roller skating, to hiking, camping, traveling. it was wonderful that he chose to propose to me at a park. during our dating, each weekend we visited a park, met up to eat lunch at a park, spent countless hours in a park with our children and grand. Today, we still make time for each other at a park. After our wedding John and I had said that if God blessed us to see twenty years in this marriage that we would Renew our vows. While in church one Sunday he whispered, "Do you know this August will make twenty years.?" I replied, " What !" My mom use to say to me, " Time flies when your having fun." Well, we must have been having a lot of fun, to have been blessed to make it to twenty years, of love, support and happiness. This love and marriage is something I would do all over again. one our most favorite songs we love skating to by the Valentine Brothers; " This Kind of love," it so special. We both feel blessed to have found each other at a time in our lives when we thought love was not possible, we both were wrong. We love each other just as much today as we did in the beginning.
