Sometimes it’s hard to believe Matt and I met on yes, the one and only, Tinder dating app! I was Matt’s first blind date and he was very nervous - I practically asked him out on our first date! It was February 2018 when we first met at Bonefish in Charlottesville! The date went “okay” only because we were both nervous but we definitely were interested in one another and felt a spark. With my traveling lifestyle and different work schedules we didn’t see much of each other after that - we remained friends and would text on occasion. In July of 2018 I asked Matt to come to a 4th of July “Freedom Fest” party and it sparked our love for one another and we have been together ever since. We did the long distance between Fredericksburg and Charlottesville until we bought and built a new home and moved in together right before Covid on March 2nd 2020 - it was very challenging to not only learn to live together but during Covid, especially! With the love and support of our friends and family, we made it through the ups and downs. Now, here we are 4 years later and Matt popped the question on our 4 year anniversary 7/14/22! Not only did he surprise me with a gorgeous ring, but had some of my closest family/friends surprise me at the beach and we all celebrated together - it was the best day of my life! We are so excited for our big day and to celebrate with each and every one of you!
