I joined Coalition Strength and Conditioning in January of 2019 where Henry was coaching classes. We chatted in between and during classes through the winter and slowly started to get to know each other more. When the CrossFit Open was taking place that spring, our gym arranged a get together for folks to come in on a Friday night, do the workout, and eat some white castle burgers after. I kept score for Henry, and after the workout, while the white castle was being served, I asked him if I could eat the pickles he took off his burger. We chatted all night and the rest was history.

After 3 long years of grad school, we finally went on the Euro Trip I'd been suggesting. After 4 nights in Lisbon and 2 nights in Venice, we arrived to Florence. We'd scheduled a wine tour my sister and brother in law highly recommended that would take us through the Chianti region and to a very sweet family owned winery, Poggio Amorelli. We were scooped up in a fancy van, visited a few small towns in the hills, and finally arrived at the winery. After a truly delicious lunch, lots of wine tasting, and some banter with our server, Henry decided this was the moment. He planned a scheme with our server and one of the owners. I was wearing my grandmothers skirt, Henry was wearing all his sentimental bling; he asked, I said yes, and now we can't wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people!
