Todd and I have been lucky enough to know each other for over a decade, and be in love for most of that time. We were friends first, but when we realized we shared deeper feelings for one another, I think we both had a real knowing that this was something different. We just made sense together, and our life has been SO wonderful ever since! With all of our moving around and adventuring, we were never in much of a rush to get married, but I don't think either of us could have anticipated how surreal and special that moment would end up being for us. It was a 9 year building up of love and partnership, all culminating in a beautiful, intimate ceremony at one of our favorite places, Short Sand Beach. We chose to have a private ceremony so we could really focus on and be present with one another for what is meant to be the most important day in a couple's lives (it was, by the way). With how much we miss our friends and family (that's you!), we knew we'd feel torn trying to spend time with everyone we love, and each other. I think we've both also become a bit more reserved in our 30's, so declaring our love in front of everyone after all this time felt a little daunting. That said, we truly held you all with us in spirit on that day, and hope to find a way to celebrate with everyone sooner than later! We are effortlessly and endlessly in love, and are so excited for all the years to come. Thank you for taking the time to be here getting a glimpse into our day, and for being in our lives! **A few noteworthy details from our day** ~I got to spend the first 2 hours of the day Zooming with my lifelong girls who are spread all across the lands (thank you all again, it was the next-best thing to having you there physically). ~We got ready in the same room and somehow managed not to see each other until the ceremony - go us! ~The PNW gods blessed us and it didn't rain during our ceremony! It was QUITE windy, though, as you may notice in some of our photos. ~Todds vows blew mine out of the water (I said what I said). ~We went out to dinner afterwards in Astoria, Oregon (where they filmed The Goonies - it's a magical place, you should check it out, or better yet, come visit and we can go!) ~When we got back from dinner, Todd made a fire and we shared our first dance - it was romantic as HECK. ~I made my own bouquet, Todds boutonniere, and decorated the cake myself, all thanks to a neighbor (also named Todd) who was willing to let me hack away at his hydrangea bush. ~Special shout out to another one of our lifers, Chelsey, for watching our fluffy boys and keeping them safe! ~MOST IMPORTANTLY: None of this would have happened or been documented without the help and talents of some of our all-time favorite people - Emily, Lauren, and Maiken. Our love and appreciation for you all is immeasurable!!
