Hotel
This is where we'll be having our welcome party and ceremony the following day. You are welcome to stay here (we recommend it!) however some alternative nearby accommodation is provided below.
Flight
This is the best airport to fly in to - it's easy to navigate and only a 35 minute drive from the venue and a 20 minute drive to Cape Town city center.
Rental Car
The airport has a variety of rental car companies, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Europcar, Hertz, National and Thrifty. We recommend renting a car to get the best experience. Alternatively, Uber is very safe and reliable throughout Cape Town.
Shuttle
November 29, 2024 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm
If you aren't staying at the venue, there will be shuttles available on both Friday and Saturday to transport you back to your accommodation (provided it's in the surrounding area, please contact Sianna if you're unsure). On Friday shuttles start from 8:30pm and on Saturday shuttles start from 11pm. We recommend taking an Uber to the venue as these are readily available during the day.

Travel Note
We suggest staying in Cape Town before or after the wedding to get the full experience. Airbnb is a great option for booking a stay. We recommend the following areas: Sea Point, Green Point, De Waterkant, Camps Bay, Waterfront, Constantia (if you want something in the suburbs).
Iconic mountain with panoramic views of the city. You can take a cable car or hike to the top.
Situated in the picturesque Constantia Valley, Tryn is part of the historic Steenberg Estate. The restaurant boasts a stylish setting and a diverse menu featuring contemporary, locally inspired cuisine. We recommend going for breakfast, and make sure you ask to sit outside on the vineyard facing the mountains.
One of our all time favorite spots - perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a casual lunch.

Smart-casual attire (think linen shirts for men, long flowy dresses for women, no jeans).
Babylonstoren is a 45 minute drive from Cape Town. However, it is recommended to stay in the local winelands the night of the wedding. A variety of accommodations have been recommended, however there are many other options.
There are no hotel blocks available, so we recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible.
Yes, there's plenty of parking at Babylonstoren.

There is no conventional public transport in Cape Town. Other than renting a car, Uber is the preferred mode of transport.

No - everyone receives a 90 day tourist visa upon entry.
It is helpful to exchange some money when arriving in South Africa for tipping, however most places take credit cards. If you can, always tip the 'car guards' in the parking lot with some extra change when departing. Tipping in restaurants is generally around 12.5%, if it hasn't already been added to the bill as a service charge.
Yes, any valid driver's license is accepted in South Africa.
Yes, but speaking from experience, it is very simple to adapt!
South Africa has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to drinking and driving. Your blood may not have an alcohol content of more than 0.05% (this means that even after one small drink you could be over the limit).
Despite the fact that South Africa has 12 official languages, English is the most widely spoken in Cape Town.
