the one where they got married

SURPRISE!

We tied the knot on February 15, 2025, in a small, intimate ceremony surrounded by our immediate family. But our journey began three years prior—a whirlwind of moments that feel like a heartbeat and a lifetime. In those years, Ryan completed his degree, Eryn worked countless long night shifts at the Emergency Room, Ryan interned in St. Louis, the Army sent Eryn all over, Ryan landed a career in Kansas City before moving to North Dakota, and Eryn finally earned her undergraduate degree. Together, we’ve navigated significant life changes and celebrated countless milestones. Through these transitions, we've logged countless miles. When Ryan spent a summer in St. Louis, Eryn (and Nuke) visited as often as possible. We made trips back and forth from Memphis to meet Eryn's goddaughter, Juniper Grace. When Ryan moved to Kansas City, we commuted between KC and Columbia to see each other. Then came the big move to Williston, North Dakota, while Eryn was working in Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin. That move sparked new adventures, including visits to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Dakota’s Black Hills, Custer State Park, and Rapid City. Our most unforgettable trip, however, was to Glacier National Park in Montana. … where Ryan proposed! He planned the perfect proposal, even booking a photographer for the next day (which explains all these gorgeous photos!). There are countless stories between the lines—late-night laughs, early-morning adventures, and joyful and challenging moments. Through it all, we’ve built a foundation for a lifetime of memories. Our February ceremony with our siblings, parents, nieces, and nephews was beautiful, but we knew we wanted to celebrate with everyone we love and who has helped write a chapter in our book. We cannot wait to celebrate this marriage we have started with all of you and add another memory to our book!

Your presence is gift enough, but if you are feeling particularly generous, these are a few things we would love to have as newlyweds.

Wedding Party

Reagan Verwys

Matron of Honor

There is not much this girl cannot accomplish, God has blessed Rea with the gift of fierce love, strength, smarts, compassion, and so much more. Rea is the best person to have in your corner, because she ALWAYS defends what she loves. Reagan being the MOH was a no-brainer. We are so thankful for her extra supportive and extremely helpful husband, Dylan, who has become such a valued friend to both of us. We appreciate the numerous blessings this couple continues to bring into our lives.

Conner Mills

Best Man

From diapers to suits, Conner has been around for it all. There is never a question when we reach out to Conner, his answer is always yes. He is the most caring, thoughtful, and generous guy you could ask for as a best friend. He would offer you the shoes off his own feet to make sure you were comfortable. Our wedding would not have been the same without Conner and Lexi's support and help with everything. We are so blessed to have this beautiful couple in our lives and we enjoy every minute we get to spend together!

If you have any other questions that have not been addressed please feel to reach out to Eryn or Ryan!.... Better ask Eryn.
Question

This is so non-traditional... Will there be any traditional wedding features?

Answer

Although it's a bit unconventional to hold our wedding reception three months after the ceremony, we couldn’t start this next chapter without the chance to celebrate and share this special moment with ALL of our friends and loved ones! This event has become a wonderful opportunity for our families to come together, friends to visit, and for us to spend some much-needed time with everyone. If you’d like to arrive early, there will be games set up and fishing available before the reception begins. At 5:45 PM, the traditional reception will kick off with special entrances, speeches, dances, games, and more. A delicious sit-down meal will be served, and of course, there will be plenty of music to enjoy! After the traditional part of the reception and meal, we’ll open the party to include alcohol. We truly hope you’ll stay and join us, as we’ve planned plenty of fun to keep the whole family entertained. There will be games, a kids’ area, our wedding video on display, music, and lots of dancing!

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

Preferably clothing that covers all the bits... Very casual and will be outside.

Question

Kids ARE Welcome!

Answer

We have 6 nieces/nephews... Of course kids are welcome and will have plenty to do to keep busy! We will have a kid corral with games, a bounce house, a straw maze, and more!

Question

Will there be bathrooms?

Answer

Of course, there will be indoor bathrooms available and a quiet room inside for overwhelmed children or parents.

Question

Menu

Question

Will there be alcohol or a bar?

To ensure a fun and focused celebration, we'll be offering non-alcoholic beverages during dinner. The bar will open following dinner for those who wish to enjoy a drink. Please note: Our bar will feature a limited selection of drinks. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages to enjoy in the after dinner celebration!

Question

Can we come early?

Answer

Family will be around earlier in the day as a makeshift "reunion". So come by to fish, play games, help Russ cook!
