Formal attire. We encourage men to wear a suit, any color is perfectly acceptable! We ask that women wear a cocktail/evening dress or nice pantsuit. Bright colors and floral designs are favored! A little white on the floral dresses is fine but please avoid all white outfits.

Are there any hotel discounts? Where do I stay?

Unfortunately, the Bear Mountain Inn is not offering any discounts for our guests. We highly encourage everyone to call the Bear Mountain Inn for a room on site as soon as possible because online availability has become limited. Please make sure you mention that you are a guest for our wedding because there is a certain number of blocked rooms available to our guests. The best number to call for a reservation is: (855) 548-1184. The Holiday Inn is also a great option and only about 5 minutes away from the venue! Keep in mind that the cut off for the special pricing relating to this event will be August 13th. Where do I check in?

Check in for all buildings is located at the Historic Inn, 99 Service Rd, Tomkins Cove, NY 10986 It is recommended to bring confirmation of reservation to show park police in case of long lines entering the park. For early check-in, please contact the desk upon arrival. Check in for the Holiday Inn will be at the front desk. Please notify the staff upon arrival that you are part of the Seth and Mariah wedding reservations to receive your gift bag.

What is the weather like around that time of year in Bear Mountain?

It will be nearing the end of summer so it will still be relatively warm but it does tend to get cloudy in the area that time of year. We advise everyone to check the weather app for the Tomkins Cove/Bear Mountain area. It is located near hiking trails so we encourage those who want to go on hikes to download the trail apps (please don’t get lost on the trails).

What activities can I do during my stay?

Answer

From swimming to hiking to having a picnic, there is plenty to keep you occupied during you stay. Paddleboats are $10 per person for 30 minutes or $15 per person for 60 minutes. There is a 4 person max per boat and all boats are first come first serve. The Carousel House is open year around for children and those of all ages.
