R. So I don’t actually remember meeting Alicia for the first time… A. That’s the first thing he said to me when I reminded him of our first encounter / interaction. Anyways! I was 15 years old attending my first ever pioneer seminar! During our 10 minute intermission I was introduced to Robert through a mutual friend at the Brooklyn assembly hall. Little did we know that our paths would meet again. After a long pandemic I was invited to work at the assembly hall as a housekeeper and would see Robert sporadically throughout the day. It wasn’t until a major renovation was being made that led to a lovely friendship. I’d say the more we interacted and worked together is when our friendship began to develop. R. I was honestly convinced that she hated me…. But after observing her more and trying to speak to her whenever I got the chance, I came to understand that she is simply a reserved and shy person. Once we started conversing more and more frequently, I realized just how close we were getting to each other and how natural our friendship developed. I really didn’t want to let go of that. So we discussed it, prayed about it and decided to start dating. You obviously know how the rest turned out…. 😆
