The First Date
Andrew and Cristina’s first date was at The Dobbin House, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Both were very nervous as they awkwardly stood in the lobby not knowing how to act. This dissipated quickly as once they were seated they laughed and made jokes like they had known each other their whole lives.The waitress even commented that they were so giggly she thought they were laughing at her! Andrew took home her leftovers (which Cristina is still upset about) and they knew they would be seeing each other again.This was the beginning of many more dates and food related conquests as they searched for the best places to eat in Gettysburg.
The Proposal
Cristina was excited to show Andrew Pole Steeple (a beloved childhood hike). Andrew insisted they hike on time to catch photos of the sunset. They were in a rush as they were late because of both of their procrastination. Cristina became nervous as she watched the sun set and watched Andrew aggressively drive through Michaux forest to make it on time. Cristina and Andrew knew they would not be getting his sunset pictures.They arrived when the sun had almost completely set. Nonetheless, they continued to trek the trail in hopes of making it, as Cristina grew annoyed with Andrew’s optimism. However, Andrew encouraged her to keep going even as she could no longer see the path in front of her. Once they reached the top they watched as the moon illuminated the night sky with stars and they sat on the rocks excited to have reached the peak. As Cristina admired the view she gasped as Andrew got on one knee and proposed to her underneath the stars.

What time should I arrive?
Answer
We ask that everyone arrive 20 minutes early to the reception, so that we may begin as scheduled. We hope to only have to wait for the groom (who is notoriously late).

Are photos allowed to be taken during the ceremony?
Answer
The bride and groom request that once the ceremony begins you put away your phones. We have paid an amazing photographer to take photos, and we will be sure to share them with everyone. However, you may take as many photos and videos as you like at our reception.

Will the reception and ceremony be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony is outdoors so please dress accordingly. The reception will be indoors in the climate controlled barn.

Where should guests park for the ceremony?
Answer
Parking is located behind The Looking Barn.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?
Answer
Dinner will be served at the reception. If you have certain dietary restrictions please let us know as soon as possible so that we may accommodate your needs.

We do not have a hotel block for guests. We ask that all guests find their own accommodations.
