How We Met

Simply The Best

Megan and Andy started dating in the typical millennial fashion (meeting on Hinge) in Winter 2019, pre-pandemic, before the world shut down. On their first date, Andy was about a half-hour late, wearing a gray V-neck sweater nearly identical to the one Megan had on at dinner that night. Serendipitous, to say the least. From the moment they met, it was clear to both of them that their relationship was the real deal. In the years that followed, these two began writing their love story while navigating through a pandemic, loss of loved ones, unexpected lay-offs, multiple career shifts and different living situations. After all that, these two souls continue to support each other through life's highs and lows, growing old together as their two hearts become one. In the words of Tina Turner (or Patrick from “Schitt’s Creek”) the love between Megan and Andy is “simply the best."

Wedding Party

Allie Brooks

Maid of Honor

Megan met Allie the first day she moved into the dorms their freshman year at East Carolina University, and they immediately clicked. They quickly realized that they grew up less than 20 minutes from each other in Fairfax County. Their friendship has continued to grow over the last 12 years over many shared laughs, bottles of wine, cherished girl's trips, and delicious meals. Allie is the life of the party and you'll be sure to see her out on the dance floor on the big day!

Rob Nicoll

Best Man

Robbie Nicoll and Andy first bonded over their shared interests of arts, sciences and ska during their elementary school years, and their friendship has only deepened since. Their time together is made up of experiences on epic hiking adventures, attending space camp and shows at smoky dive bars and anywhere in the ongoing pursuit of the "joie de vivre." Chosen as Best Man for his unwavering loyalty, intellect and the rich history they share, Robbie is the perfect person to stand by Andy's side and support him through the wedding festivities, and onward into life.

Kasey Connelly

Bridesmaid

Kasey and Megan met in high school in Mr. Murphy's 10th grade English class. They bonded quickly, sharing a goofy "class clown" energy. They had many weekday sleepovers, seamlessly immersing themselves into each other's families. Kasey and Megan have continued to stay long distance friends over the years, and always pick up right where they left off when they get the chance to spend time together.

Allie Morgan

Groomswoman

Growing up in Littleton, Colorado, Andy's sister Allison has been his partner-in-crime, concerts and all things cool since they were kids. She fondly recalls the many moments spent cheering him on at his music events and the playful sibling rivalry that shaped their childhood. Her presence in the wedding party is a testament to their strong sibling bond and her continued support in every aspect of Andy's life.

Olivia Klele

Bridesmaid

Megan was lucky enough to have Olivia as her "random roommate" during her year at JMU. After Megan graduated from ECU and Olivia graduated from VCU, they moved into a tiny apartment in Richmond together with 2 big dogs. Olivia and Megan fell into their friendship easily, and continue to enjoy going to concerts, checking out new restaurants, and relaxing on the couch watching a silly show any opportunity they can get.

Rob Morgan

Groomsman

As Andy's brother-in-law, Robert Morgan is no stranger to navigating life's waves, ups and downs. An avid sailor and yachtsman with a keen finance mind, Robert’s diverse interests and cool demeanor make him a standout presence in Andy's life. His role as a groomsman highlights the deep respect and camaraderie shared within the Reed family for Rob's ability to be resilient, whatever the weather.

Preslie Senatore

Bridesmaid

Preslie and Megan initially met at East Carolina toward the end of Megan's undergraduate studies, and now they both live in Raleigh, NC where they continue to bond over craft nights, yummy food, thriller books and a nice bottle of wine. Preslie and Megan have enjoyed adventuring together in various parts of Virginia and North Carolina, including cities, beaches and mountains.

Brendan Sullivan

Groomsman

From little league baseball to celebrating other significant milestones throughout adult life, Brendan Sullivan has been a steadfast friend throughout Andy's journey. Their friendship is strong, built on making the most of every situation and choosing to see the optimism in life. Brendan’s presence in the wedding party underscores the deep-rooted loyalty and shared history that defines their lifelong connection as brothers from other mothers.

Tiffany Smith

Bridesmaid

Megan and Tiffany met at ECU, where they instantly bonded over activities that they continue to enjoy together today, including exercising (we love a little friendly competition), hitting the beach, spending time with the dogs, and finding all of the best wineries and breweries around. Megan can always count on endless laughter (the kind that makes your cheeks hurt) when spending time with Tiffany.

Clarence Yuan

Groomsman

Meeting during their freshman year at Franklin College Switzerland, Andy and Clarence Yuan formed a close bond as roommates and lovers of "the old school." Their friendship was forged through late-night study sessions, paprika chips, scotch and spontaneous campus adventures in Lugano, creating a wealth of shared memories. Clarence’s role as a groomsman is highlighted by the support they offered each other during their formative college years and how it has persisted to today.

Emily Trotta

Bridesmaid

Emily and Megan lived together during Megan's sophomore year at ECU as random roommates. They stayed close throughout the years as they began their journeys into adulthood, and now have the pleasure of living in Raleigh and spending time together "bebopping" downtown, exercising, hitting the pool, and dancing the night away.

Stefan Heuer

Groomsman

Stefan Heuer and Andy first connected on set at a music video shoot, where their professional relationship quickly blossomed into a lasting friendship. Their bond is marked by inside jokes, freestyles and memorable moments from their time together on tours. As a groomsman, Stefan brings fraternal energy, funk and musical flair to the wedding celebration.

Allie Woods

Bridesmaid

Allie is Megan's longest friend. Allie and Megan grew up across the street from each other (thank you, Rosetree Ct), and spent countless days and nights forming unforgettable, core memories together. Although their friendship turned long distance early on in their lives, Allie and Megan have made sure to stay close over the years through major milestones, including graduations, weddings and children.

Will Lopez

Groomsman

Will Lopez and Andy forged a strong bond through their work as hired guns in music and on tour, developing a deep friendship that extends beyond professional boundaries. Their connection is enhanced by their shared love for music and all it can offer humanity, with Will’s talent as a sound engineer, saxophonist and guitarist adding unique elements to their friendship. Will's role as a groomsman underscores the supportive and multifaceted nature of his friendship with Andy.
