On a wintery January evening, Rebekah and Daniil met for the first time under the Washington Square Arch in NYC. After settling into a French wine bar called Amelie, flights of wine and good conversation ensued. Rebekah was impressed by Daniil’s extensive knowledge of fine wines and local museums. Daniil loved Rebekah’s beautiful smile and enjoyed hearing about her thesis and city adventures. Their feelings for each other quickly grew and the couple became inseparable. Over the years, Rebekah and Daniil have made countless memories together. They have enjoyed beautiful mountain hikes, rustic camping trips, and gritty motorcycle journeys side by side, exploring places from Maine and Colorado, to remote countries like Indonesia, Oman, and Laos. These days, Rebekah and Daniil find joy in the ordinary things. When Daniil is not fighting fires and Rebekah isn’t fundraising for NGOs, the couple spends plenty of time cooking, watching movies, hiking upstate, and exploring New York. Daniil fell in love with Rebekah's warm, kind energy and determined spirit. Rebekah was captivated by Daniil's sense of adventure and his calm, hardworking demeanor.

After many years together, it was time for the next step. On November 20, 2022, Daniil proposed to Rebekah during one of their favorite hikes, overlooking an epic viewpoint near Lake Minnewaska in the Catskills. Rebekah and Daniil are very excited to invite you to join them Westchester for their wedding this coming summer. We are truly blessed to have such loving family and friends, and we are so happy to celebrate our love with you all!
