How We Met

2.6.23

I had started at Lexus as a receptionist and Jacob instantly felt compelled to ask me out. He says he just knew something was different when he saw me. He came up to my desk asking for post-it notes (little did I know, mechanics don't use post-it notes). This was his way of trying to talk to me. A few weeks later a bunch of us coworkers went line dancing and we both got so drunk being nervous around each other. After watching him do some of the most horrible dance moves I've ever seen, I still thought he was the cutest and asked a friend for his number. And the rest is history...

The Proposal

9.30.24

On our family vacation we decided to take some pictures on the beach before we went to dinner. Jenna very clearly had a ring sized box in her pocket so I knew it was about to happen. We start taking family photos and as he hands Casey to me I notice him start to get choked up. "I'm going to cry," Jacob said. He told me he had been thinking about what he wanted to say for days but he forgot it all now. He said, "all I know is that I love you and I've wanted to marry you from the very beginning." He got on one knee and popped the question and we hugged and cried together. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.

FAQs

Question

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

When arriving at Penitentiary Glen, you will find there is much to look at. Our ceremony is being held at the Amphitheater. In order to find where this is you will follow the trail passed the two main buildings until you’ve arrived at the amphitheater on your right. You should see benches to find your seat. Once arrived, there are only so many physical places for guests to sit so please stay standing behind said benches during the Ceremony.

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

Springbrook Gardens is a public park that is very large. The reception will be held inside of the building right in the center of the park. Cocktail hour is also being held at this location outside of the building in the patio area.

Question

Can I come to just the reception?

Answer

You absolutely can! We have limited seating at the ceremony location and would love to see the faces of our closest friends and family. Please RSVP for exactly which part of the day you will be there for.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate children.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail/semi-formal. No specifics on color but, it’s a summer wedding so, have some fun with summer colors!
