Our Story

August 17th, 2013 - Payal and Zach meet for the first time at an unsupervised party at Zach's house. After, Payal told her friend Ellen (pictured), “I’m going to marry Zach one day.”

September 5th, 2015 - After both attending the University of Maryland and reconnecting after their high school days, Zach and Payal began dating at the beginning of their sophomore year of college.

May 2018 - Payal and Zach both graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Payal graduated with a double major in Marketing and Psychology.

Zach graduated with a dual degree in Biology and Psychology, with a minor in Astronomy.

July 2020 - Zach got accepted to the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University! He began school later that fall.

December 28th 2022 - After taking Payal’s parents and brother-in-law out to lunch and getting their blessings, Zach surprised Payal by proposing privately in her home in Baltimore.

Payal and Zach spent the rest of their engagement weekend with some of their best friends RINGing in the New Year in Atlantic City.

April 1st, 2023 - Payal and Zach celebrated their engagement with a big party at Payal’s parents’ house in Columbia.

They spent the night on the dance floor, and ended the night by jumping into the ice cold pool and Taco Bell.
