Paul and Carla first met at their job, Caliber Collision on 281 N. Friends for a while, just hanging out on evenings and weekends, which lead to growing feelings for each other. It turned out they had so much in common, enjoyed the same things and eventually couldn’t be separated. If it wasn’t for Carla’s brother Jason Canastra to jokingly say “ Paul why don’t you just get with my sister and move in already, you’re with her everyday.” Carla and Paul looked at each other with a smile, and said it’s time April 2020 it was official.

When the 49ers made it to the Super Bowl February 2024, Paul and Carla threw a 49ers watch party with her family at brother Mark Gonzalez’s house. While Paul had a secret up his sleeve all along, and surprised Carla during halftime proposing on one knee with a BEAUTIFUL ring. She was so surprised, said yes and cried happy tears with a smile from ear to ear.
