What will the reception be like?

The reception will be a way for us to celebrate our marriage with our friends and family while having some fun. This will consist of games, dancing, and food. Think of it like a formal backyard cookout.

What should I wear?

Answer

We ask that you dress up with us, but you don’t need to go all out. This will be a casual formal event. That means a nice shirt with nice pants, a dress, or a skirt. No jeans or sneakers please! The event will be outdoors on grass, so we ask that you wear appropriate shoes, thank you!

Are there any colors I shouldn’t wear?

We ask that you don’t wear white/ivory. And if possible, avoid fuchsia and apricot. Thank you!

Who is invited to the ceremony?

Answer

We would like to keep the ceremony small and intimate. We ask that only those specifically invited to the ceremony be there. We will host a reception afterwards for everyone to help us celebrate.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones dearly, we ask that this remain an adult only celebration. This means invited 18+ unless notified otherwise by the bride or groom themselves.

Can I take photos/videos of the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an “unplugged” ceremony. This means that we ask all phones and cameras be put away and silenced during the ceremony. A dear friend of ours will be there to capture all of our special moment. We don’t want phones to be going off during our ceremony or for there to be phones in all of our pictures. We will share the photos when we receive them. Thank you!

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

If you are not RSVP’d by July 15th, your party will be marked “not attending”. This is due to needing an accurate guest count to accurately supply food and seating.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We ask that only those specifically invited be there to share the day with us. This means that unless you are given the option of a plus one, we ask that you only bring yourself. This will allow us to keep our celebration more intimate with those closest to us.

We would love recipes from anyone willing to share! Both of us love cooking, and Haylie loves to bake! Having our family recipes merging and growing like our family would be lovely and give way for both sides to try new things!
