The Story Her Side: One day I was invited by my friend Luke to hang out with his friends at Evergreen Coffee Shop on September 11th, 2020. Nick walked up to the group shortly after I arrived... I immediately noticed him and thought "WOW he's attractive and mysterious-looking, probably out of my league." I pretty much left it at that. This gathering was almost a daily thing for their group, so if I wanted to get to know any of them, I could just come to coffee. I would go all the time to get tea and to see who was there. Nick seemed to go much more than the others and since we had been introduced and talked a little, it was easy to sit down and hang out. Well, after a couple of months of this, a new friend of mine, Taylor Vallo, who was a barista there during this time, asked if I liked Nick because we sat together all the time. I seemed taken aback because I honestly hadn't given it a thought. Nick never gave off flirty vibes to me so it just felt like casual conversation and joking around. But after she said something, I asked myself if there was something I wasn't seeing. He seemed to "get me" and it was always effortless being around him. Once I became aware of this I wondered about us, but still thought there was no way he liked me like that. About a week later after Taylor asked me about Nick, I got a DM from @tegatattoo (aka Nick) " Yo, Tosha, you wanna go grab lunch at From the Hearth?" I most certainly did and replied to make the plans. Now, in my memory, he ghosted me for at least a whole day, but after looking at the receipts, it was only 3 hours..... my bad lol. From there, we had movie dates at the good old C St. house he lived at with his roommates. On January 25th Nick officially asked me to be his girlfriend. I truly hit the jackpot. We are best friends that perfectly complement one another. He makes me feel comfortable to be myself. He is my better half, better pizza, Poppa Johns <3 His Side: So, my first experience involving T was actually from one of my homies, Jerms, telling me that this girl named Tosha was moving back to Redding and that I should date her. A little while later, I met her at Evergreen. I thought she was beautiful but I honestly wasn't looking to date at that time. Though, as I was around her more, I couldn't stop thinking about her. In the beginning, I didn't even think she liked me. However, that didn't stop me from trying to be around her more. I just couldn't get enough of how fun and weird she was. I would show up to Evergreen almost every day before work to hang out with friends, but more importantly, in hopes that T would be there. I think it took a couple of months of hanging out at Evergreen before I had the courage to ask her out to lunch. That date didn't work out but it did lead to us seeing each other more. I introduced her to more of my friends, made some great memories, and life just felt right. Soon, we started to date and the rest is history. I feel so blessed to have found my person when I wasn't looking. We met, we fell in love, and now we are so excited to add to our story.
