A little back story for anyone who doesn't know the story of Nicole and Kenneth! We met each other later in life which seemed to work in our favor as we'd had our fair share of good and bad relationships to know what we wanted and didn't want for ourselves. After the military, Kenneth returned home and started rekindling old high school friendships. Crazy as it seems, those old friends of his were actually my friends and they invited him to come celebrate my birthday weekend with us. That night, after meeting for the first time, we instantly felt a connection that we couldn't ignore. After about seven months of adventures, dates, and spending basically every day together, we knew we were perfect for each other and decided to make our relationship official in September of 2021 by becoming a couple. Fast forward to November of 2022, we took a leap and decided to get an apartment together. Our love continued to grow more and more every day and our relationship blossomed into the most beautiful one either of us had ever experienced! After a few months though, we found that we don't get as much time together as we thought we would after the move, obviously it happens with work and adult life, so what better way to make up for that than to go on our first vacation as a couple. Disney World was no brainer as I had never been and it would be the perfect way celebrate my upcoming birthday and to just get away from responsibilities and be kids again. Little did I know, he had an even bigger surprise up his sleeve. Weeks before our trip, he secretly asking my parents for their blessing and filled them in on the plans he had for our trip. As you can imagine, our first day at Disney, turned into a day I will never forget! Kenneth, in the biggest crowd in the middle of Epcot with a photographer who he told his plan to and was ready to capture the moment, got down on his knee and proposed. From there the rest is history because when you know, you know! "May the Force be strong with us both every day of our lives. I promise to battle along side you in any rebellion, to resist the lures of the Dark Side, and to adventure through hyperspace with you as my GPS."
