We met online a couple years ago and took our time to get to know each other. Since it was the Pandemic, many of our dates were outdoors; hiking, fishing or playing disc golf Additionally, because we lived so far apart, we spent many nights talking on the phone which helped us learn about each other and develop a love for each other's worldview. Our friendship, respect and chemistry grew into love and what can we say, the rest is history.
One Saturday afternoon, we went out for dinner at the restaurant, The Skyline Club which is located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis and features breathtaking views of the city. We had the restaurant to ourselves as we enjoyed each other's company. Next, we went to The Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA), which features the Gardens at Newfields, ( acres of horticulture). We walked and walked through what seemed like an endless display of flowers and plants through winding paths to a predetermined location. Once, there taking photos of all the sites I didn't even notice he gotten down on one knee and when I turned around, he asked me to marry him. Lost in the moment, I snapped a picture of this momentous occasion and then said, yes. We're engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in St. Augustine!
