We met working at Ramuntos, I was being trained as a pizza chef and Jason was working in the back kitchen as a chef. We'd talk whenever we got the chance during our shifts, Jason would remember every little detail of what I would ramble on about. I always knew it would be a good shift if he and I were scheduled together, and it always was. He eventually made the first move one night asking if he could kiss me and then our worlds just fell into place and we never left each other's sides again.

We went on a day trip to Salem but ended up in Hampton Beach. I knew it was coming and spent all day waiting for the moment he'd finally ask, but he just kept not asking. We eventually ended up at a beach-side bar called Bernie's. I came to my own conclusion that he wasn't going to ask me, but I was very wrong. At one point Jason went up to the singer preforming and then came back to our table- he made the plan. Next thing I know he wanders back up to the performer and calls me up to join them, Jason kneels down and asks me in front of a crowded bar and half of Hampton Beach. After I nodded "YES", because I couldn't speak in the moment, the singer preformed Tangled Up by Aaron Lewis as we slow danced in celebration.
