We are coordinating a shuttle from Hotel La Compania to the Miraflores Visitor's Center. The visitor's center is currently undergoing renovations. Currently, visitors can observe ships as they transit the canal and view an IMAX show that focuses on the history and operations of the Panama Canal. Panama Canal
The #1 must-see attraction for anyone making a trip to Panama City. We will coordinate a Panama Canal tour on Friday, April 4th for all guests that are interested in experiencing one of the greatest engineering marvels in the world.
Casco Viejo
Casco Viejo will be the center of the action for our wedding festivities. This area is ideal for walking, discovering history and enjoying a variety of fine cuisine.
Parque Nacional Soberanía
Parque Nacional Soberanía is located just 30 minutes from Panama City near the banks of the Panama Canal, in the canal construction zone, and spans about 22,000 hectares. The park contains dry tropical rainforest, countless species of animals, and the Chagres River, which runs through it. We recommend soliciting a guide if you plan to explore the park.
Amador Causeway
The Amador Causeway is a great place to take in Panama City’s skyline and the Pacific entrance to the Canal as you stroll, jog, skate, bike, rent an electric scooter or just sit and enjoy the breeze. You can also shop for local wares at handicraft shops, eat at some of the area’s restaurants, or visit the Punta Culebra Nature Center operated by the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute.
Taboga Island
Isla Taboga, or the Island of Flowers, is a short 30 minute ferry ride from the Amador Causeway in Panama City, making it one of the best one-day getaways. Visitors can explore the island on foot, taking in the tropical plant life, historic Spanish-founded town, and relaxed beaches.
Portobelo
Legend has it that Columbus named Portobelo as soon as he saw the color of its deep blue sea, the white of its beaches, and the intense green of its forests and mangroves. The trip to the Caribbean coast from Panama City can take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes in total, but the main stretch on the Panama-Colon Expressway is relatively easy to navigate.
