FCO - Leonardo da Vinci–Rome Fiumicino Airport

Italy has many airports, but the two closest to Castel Gandolfo are FCO and CIA. Fiumicino Airport (FCO) is a 30 minute drive to Castel Gandolfo. You can fly directly to FCO from several, major U.S. airports. Although Ciampino Airport (CIA) is closer to Castel Gandolfo, only more local, European cities can fly into it. p.s. Although we are always partial to flying Delta, we will not be hurt if you fly any other airline ;)

Train

Trenitalia - Roma Termini to Castel Gandolfo

The train from Roma Termini to Castel Gandolfo is only 44 minutes. Tickets are 2.10€ each direction. There is one train per hour, so make sure you look at the schedule ahead of time and catch the right train to make the ceremony! IF YOU PLAN TO TAKE THE TRAIN TO AND FROM CASTEL GANDOLFO, BUY A ROUND TRIP TICKET FROM YOUR ORIGIN. The Castel Gandolfo station may not be able to produce your return ticket otherwise. The Castel Gandolfo Station is a 2 minute drive away from the church (uphill, so we wouldn't suggest planning to walk!) and a 7 minute drive to the reception venue.

Rental Car

Rental Cars - Uber

Castel Gandolfo is about a 40 minute drive from central Rome. You can rent a car directly at FCO airport or at Roma Termini Central Station in central Rome. Parking is available at the reception venue. Uber is also available throughout Italy! If you are staying in or traveling from Rome you can order taxis or Ubers from the Uber app. You can also have your hotel call a taxi. They are about 35-55€ each direction.

Shuttle

Shuttles on Wedding Day from Villa Pocci at 3:30 pm

A shuttle will be departing at 3:30 from the parking lot of the reception venue to the church and back to Villa Pocci following the ceremony! There is very minimal, paid parking next to San Tommaso da Villanova Church, so we'd suggest getting settled in the large, venue parking lot and taking the 10 minute shuttle ride to the church.
