Wedding Party

Kendra Burns

Matron of Honor

Sister Big Sister and built in best friend Kendra has known me through all of my awkward stages and still chooses to love me. I played soccer because she played soccer, I learned to snowboard because she learned to snowboard and a million other things that I tried because she did them. I always wanted to be just like her. Which I’m sure drove her crazy :) Lucky for me she now wants to hang out with her little sister and we’re closer than ever! She’s a BA nurse, a mother of two, and still to this day always speaks her mind which I have always admired greatly.

Tawnie Aschim

Matron of Honor

Best Friend Tawn-Bon has been at my side since we were in 7th grade. She knows my deepest secrets (don’t ask her, she won’t tell you) and has never judged me once in life even through very questionable high school and college choices! We’ve been together through our worsts and now still together at our bests. She’s my other half (sorry Steve) and my chosen family. She has the biggest heart and you can guarantee that if you ever need anything she’s your girl.

Jen Burchak

Bridesmaid

Oldest Sister Jen has ten years of wisdom on me and has always included me in her life. When we were young some of my best memories are spending the afternoons with her, dancing to Cumbia Kings in the kitchen, making late night snacks, and getting tacos at childhood favorite Mercedes. Jenn is a dedicated teacher and loving mother to her two children.

Sara Flores

Bridesmaid

Bonus Sister/Cousin Sara has been my idol my whole life. From catching Prince Charming (seen above) to raising her two beautiful children with husband Austin, she has always been such an inspiration for me. She was strong when I couldn’t be, stood up for me when I needed it, and continues to always be a safe place when I need to feel like I’m home. The biggest blessing in my life is being part of the Hartman family and one of the best parts of that was getting to grow up with my bonus sister.

Laurel Rowe

Bridesmaid

When my dad was dying of cancer Laurel walked by and saw me crying outside of a container at an Army training rotation (without really knowing me). She obviously didn’t know why I was crying but she was there for me that day and every day since. She opened her arms wide to me when I moved to Washington and welcomed me into her wonderful life. Her and her husband TJ are legitimately the best people you will ever meet coincidentally Laurel is the reason Steve and I are together!! She always gives the best advice, like to give Steve a chance :)

Austine Scales

Bridesmaid

Austine is Bandit’s godmother. She kept me sane while Steve was deployed and played a pivotal role in helping create the good boy that he is today. Outside of expert dog trainer Austine loves the outdoors, Rainer (mountain and beer), and is also a gin enthusiast. Her and I have been exploring the backcountry together this year as newbies together and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to explore our new hobby with! Austine is the definition of a true friend, the best planner, and has always deeply researched whatever adventure we are about to go on together. She’s a guaranteed good time and always has the best advice!

Kimberly Shine

Bridesmaid

Kimberly Shine is a literal ray of sunshine. If you are ever lucky enough to call her your friend, you’ve won the friendship lottery. She’s selfless, strong, confident, and a force to be reckoned with. She recently became a mama to a sweet baby girl with her husband Cody! This photo was taken from a day when I messed up my skiing reservation so I couldn’t ski (Kimberly did not, her reservation was fine) but she selflessly chose to spend the day as a parking lot kid with me while the rest of our group skied and I truly had one of the best days with her. That’s how she is, turns your bad days into good ones. She is such a blessing to this world with the kindest soul you’ll ever find.

Lauren Snodgrass

Bridesmaid

I was blessed with this love my sophomore year of college. Fellow Montana ROTC alumni Lauren has been my little piece of Montana during my time on Active duty. Our paths continue to cross every couple of years when we’re lucky enough to be stationed in the same state. We have always dreamed of when we can both move back home and lives as neighbors in our state. She is without a doubt the life of the party with the kindest soul and you will surely get to enjoy the pleasure of her company at some point during the weekend as she is the socialist-of-butterflies!

Briana Bailey

Bridesmaid

Sweet Briana was a bonus gift of dating Steve! From day one she welcomed me into the friend group and from that our love of outdoors has bonded us deeply. We’ve had many adventures together in the evergreen state. She always sees the positive side of things and just started her own new adventure as a mom to baby Blake with her loving husband Aaron.

David Eubanks

Best Man

Best Friend Forever since ‘02. If you know Steve, you’ve undoubtedly met David at some point. If you can’t find him at the wedding- decent chance he’s gravitated to the nearest fishing hole, or cooler of coors lights. I’d try both.

Dan Godlasky

Groomsman

Has known Steve arguably longer than anyone outside of family- Dan and Steve met on the bus in 1997 and have been annoying each other since. Dan decided he hadn’t had enough of Steve in highschool so he decided to follow him to West Point. Fun fact about Dan: he has webbed toes (he’ll show you if you ask).

Brendan Richard

Groomsman

Friends since plebe year at West Point, Brendan’s probably the most dangerous person at the wedding for dual purposes: he’s a green beret and he’s an absolute liability whilst within arms reach of light beers.

Chaz Smigen

Groomsman

Chaz and Steve met through other roommate, Brendan, in the summer after plebe year at West Point. Steve knew they’d be BFF’s after Chaz offered him a cigarette at Camp Buckner during field training. They reunited over the years in Nashville and again back in Washington as their army careers intertwined. Chaz is a big business guy now- pursuing a career in consulting after completing an MBA at Cornell this past year.

Noah McCorkle

Groomsman

Noah and Steve met in flight school through other friend, and Taco Bell afficienado, Kevin Magdiel. Their paths crossed again in training and eventually ended up in the same unit. Noah and Steve found common ground in their love of tasty Rainiers, shredding gnar, and of their desire to form a “cult” with their closest friends in Washington.

Raymond Cancio

Groomsman

Ray served in the same unit as Meg when she got to Washington in 2018- and they quickly became besties. When Megan finally introduced Ray to Steve- they quickly hit it off too over their shared appreciation for Rainier and Blink 182. Ray and Kelly remain one of our favorite couple friends of all time!

FAQs

Question

What’s the dress code for the wedding? What’s western/ semi-formal?

Answer

We kind of made up western/semi-formal … but bottom line- if you have any western attire (cowboy boots, bolo ties, belt buckles etc) you’re encouraged to wear it! If not, that’s fine too. Suits and sport coats are welcome if the weather supports it, but if it’s over 85 degrees don’t bother! Be comfortable and wear your boogie shoes 😜

Question

Where is the venue located? Is there parking available?

Answer

The venue (Roy’s Barn and Lodge) is located north of Bozeman/Belgrade. It’s a 20 min drive from downtown Bozeman, and 15 min from Belgrade. Parking is available at the venue. If you don’t want to drive- there are Ubers available in the area, and we are working a bus transportation option to and from our Hotel block in Bozeman.

Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

Children of all ages from our family and wedding parties are welcome. All children that don’t take up a seat are welcome from all guests [bring your babies if you want to, leave them with the in-laws if you need a night off;) ] - however due to the limited number of seats available at the venue we are limiting it to that. If you have a specific question feel free to ask!
