It all began with a 3-month trial to Match.com. Morgan and I had experienced several (sometimes awkward) first dates, I went into our first dinner date with high expectations. As a semi-safe young lady, I initiated the alert system with my college roommate just in case of any awkward situations. I really enjoyed Morgan's profile and story and I knew I could like this man because I was willing to make the trip to Grand Island and pay the one-dollar toll. He wanted to meet at a fancy sounding restaurant, called Saffire (now closed). After I pulled into the parking lot and doing a double check, I started the walk into the restaurant. Morgan met me half-way, he introduced himself, hugged me and we walked in together. My first though was, what a gentleman, he opened the door and pulled out my chair. He even listened to my talkative badgering and paid for our meal. As we were wrapping up our dinner, he walked me to my car, gave me a kiss and drove away. What a romantic beginning!
In early December 2018, Morgan spend countless hours planning our engagement. In a top-secret folder, he devised meeting locations, maps and even test photos. On the day of the proposal, Morgan made a hardy breakfast, took me ice-skating downtown and walked to through the most romantic store on Earth, Cabela's. That evening, Morgan suggested we take the dogs for a walk at Niagara Falls State Park. As we were walking, Morgan asked for Luna's leash. As I handed the leash to him, he pulled out a D-ring clip and attached Ivan and Luna together. I thought that was weird and asked why he did that...as we approached the falls he attached the dogs to the fence and walked me a few feet down the path. We watched the falls for a minute and he asked me that he enjoyed this moment and wanted to do this forever. As I turned towards him, he got down on one knee and presented the ring. Before I said yes, I said to him "You want to marry me??" After the moment settled in, Morgan pointed out his Cousin, Becky taking photos of us in the background. It was an extremely romantic surprise and thoughtful proposal.
After and practicing our relationship for 5 years and accomplishing many achievements, Morgan and I purchased our first house together on Grand Island. I demanded we adopt another dog, expecting Luna to be as well behaved as Ivan. Morgan possesses many craftsman qualities and I offer the endless list of projects that would make our house into a home. Our passions are camping, mountain biking, traveling and spending time at home smoking meats. We have loving families that support us everyday. We both believe that we were met to be with each other forever. I wouldn't change anything! Please join us on our special day and witness our vows for a eternal happy married life!
