Marlene and Alyssa met in February of 2020 through a few interactions on Instagram. After conversing for a week, they finally met in person at a Coffee Bean in Simi Valley, CA. While a normal date would last an hour or two, they quickly became inseparable. Their first date lasted 9 hours. Fast forward a few months to the world's uncertain COVID-ridden state... Alyssa and Marlene quarantined together and quickly became best friends. Alyssa showed Marlene how to play her favorite board games, while they watched trashy, early 2000s MTV shows and talked about their infinite (possibly obsessive) love for cats. In May of 2020, they decided to make it "official". Even though they were pretty sure they were already in love with each other, they spent the next 2 years falling further and further in love without even trying. They would go on adventures, get tattoos together, try each other's favorite food, and spend hours laughing at silly things that probably no one else would find funny. Alyssa got Marlene into horror movies, while Marlene brought Jersey Shore back into Alyssa's life. In December of 2022, Marlene finally proposed to Alyssa during a special fireworks show at Universal Studios in their favorite secluded spot. Since then, they've been eagerly awaiting the day they get to solidify their love in the presence of all their friends and family.
