We are so excited to see you all on Saturday. Please get to the Starling ahead of time (4:30) as you will need to take an elevator to the ceremony. Lots of people and less elevators.
We met while in residency! Marissa was the senior resident and I was the intern. We became friends and, over time, we realized it was much more and never looked back.

THE Atlanta airport - also one of the busiest in the country, but manageable if you follow the signs.
Best Man
Brother of the groom. Middle child but you'll know instantly
Maid of Honor
Friend of bride. Sarah and Marissa were roommates throughout medical school and are also the same person.
Groomsman
Brother of the groom. OLDEST son like very very old.
Bridesmaid
Friend of bride. We met when we were 4 and 5 at an art class in the Castro.
Groomsman
Cousin of the groom. Energizer bunny, always in a good mood.
Bridesmaid
Friend of bride. We met "playing" soccer when we were 8 (Emma played soccer, Marissa hid from the ball).
Groomsman
Mario and Nico grew up playing tennis and traveling across the country together. They spent so much time together they got in a big fight and Nico stabbed Mario with a chopstick.
Bridesmaid
Friend of bride. We first bonded in the newborn nursery... the rest is history.
Groomsman
Zach and Mario met at medical school. He, Mario and Nicole lived together. He will probably be the tallest at the wedding.
Bridesmaid
Friend of bride. We realized early on in residency that we had more in common than just our birth year.
Groomswoman
Nicole and Mario met at medical school. During quarantine Zach and Mario made Nicole watch every single Marvel movie.
Bridesmaid
Friend of bride. We met at our Halloween-themed Emory residency interview and were ecstatic to see we matched together!
Groomsman
Ian also went to medical school with Zach, Mario and Nicole. He and Alexa got married in a castle. Don’t expect that from us please.
Bridesmaid
Friend of bride. Neighbor, co-resident, therapist, cat auntie.. the list is endless!
Also located in Piedmont Park/Midtown, the garden is truly stunning.
The Beltline is a walking/biking/scooter/skating space repurposed that runs through parts of the city. The Eastside trail is lined with breweries, restaurants, bars, and green spaces.
Colony Square is a very cool area of restaurants, bars, and shopping in midtown right next to the wedding venue. We recommend checking out Politan Row, Saints and Council, and 5Church.
Ponce is a market and food hall which is always lively. The roof of Ponce has many games, a slide and a bar as well. We like pizza jeans and Bibi. Ponce also is connected to the Eastside beltline!
Krog is a great food hall along the beltline! Gu's dumplings is one of our favorites. Near Krog is also Brewdog, a large brewery and James Room, a cocktail lounge.
Kombucha on tap, all things pickled, and steps from the Westside beltline. Very close to many breweries as well (Monday night garage, Best End, Wild Heaven)
One of our fave bars! It’s small but the cocktails are unique and delicious. Inman park is also a cute neighborhood to explore and close to the Eastside beltline

Your RSVP has information on whether you have a plus 1. Please reach out to Pam or Wilma with any questions.
There is a parking garage at Colony Square and valet at the Starling. We would strongly encourage uber/lyft (parking is not cheap). There is a large music festival happening close to the venue and we expect there to be some worse than usual midtown traffic.
The ceremony and reception are both indoors.
Please refrain from having your phone out during the ceremony. We have great photographers to capture the event and would love for everyone to be in the moment.
We will have a welcome party for family on the Friday evening at the Starling. Marissa and Mario will plan to be at the Starling hotel bar following the family gathering! Rumor has it some of the talent from One Music Fest might be in attendance.
We are only able to accommodate the children of immediate family only at the wedding. Please reach out to Wilma or Pam with any questions.
We STRONGLY encourage everyone to get an updated booster in September or October. Please refer to the CDC guidelines for testing, and if you are positive, we respectfully request that you stay home. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/testing.html#when-to-get-tested
There is a great public transport option from the airport (MARTA), as well as the usual rideshare/cab options. We recommend walking and ubering if you are staying at the Starling or in midtown as parking is pricey and traffic will be extra that weekend.
