We don’t know what brought us together. It was loosely Fordham housing timeslots, but that’s not romantic. She spent time studying in the library, fouling in the paint, and being a human jukebox while he was running backwards, practicing presentations, and conquering the galaxy—again, not too romantic. The courtship began with a viewing of Twelve Angry Men and an intense game of Scrabble. It continued with countless NYC brunches, unapologetic sports commentating, and beautiful beach trips. After Fordham, he followed her to Pittsburgh. If you asked him, he’d say she followed him—hard to say. In any event, he started his master’s in Cybersecurity, and she began her doctorate journey in Chemistry. Nerds. Pittsburgh forged their bond. PNC is a fantastic place to catch a ballgame (good seats available). Frick Park has been home to many strolls. She discovered the joy of fantasy books. He found the sport of Ultimate Frisbee. They both love the Union Grill. After surviving a pandemic, a riot at the Capital, and Jackson’s cooking, he figured nothing could stop them. He proposed on a perfect day in May, at a well-sited bench overlooking a stream in their favorite park to recreate the moment they first said they loved each other; it was romantic. Now, they are ready to start their next chapter together. They are finishing their time in Pittsburgh and ready to call a new city home. She will start her first job post-graduation, and he will continue charming cyber criminals. They are both getting revved up to celebrate their union with friends and family on September 7th! Bring your tales, your happiness, and most importantly, your dance moves!
