Our story begins as most modern romances do, with a swipe on Bumble. Gabriella had an expertly curated series of photos paired with an exact description of what she wanted. While Ty hit only the most essential - "Yes I'll make you go hiking when you're hungover but I make an exceptional breakfast burrito." From there it took a while for Gabriella to sort through the crowd of suitors before reaching out and eventually getting to the idea of hike for a first date. If she has dragged you up a mountain before this won't surprise you. But meeting someone for a first date... from an app... in the woods... far from others... well it was either going to be the best first date or she was a a serial killer finding her next victim. Thankfully it was the best first date Ty could ask for. From there it flourished into exploration, friends, post-hike beers, cooking, tide pooling, and a million other small adventures that led to the obvious conclusion. This is what a life well lived looks like! So Ty brought her back to that same hike and popped the question. We couldn't be happier to celebrate with you all!

In 1927, Joe and Antoinette Ghiringhelli held their wedding-night dinner at a restaurant tucked into the hills of Fairfax. Charmed by the special property—originally opened in 1916 as a lodge—the young newlyweds made a promise to each other that one day they would own it. In 1937 their dream became a reality. To celebrate, Joe planted a grove of redwood trees, which have since grown into an "Enchanted Forest" of towering giants that have sheltered hundreds of couples as they exchange wedding vows.
