In light of the pandemic, we have decided to change the plans for our wedding on September 6th. This was not an easy decision to make, but after much discussion, we feel confident that it is the right one. While we will still marry on the original date with our immediate families in attendance, the envisioned celebration will now take place in 2021 on a date to be determined. We cannot wait to commemorate our marriage with you on that day. In addition to updating our website, we will also inform you of our new plan as we learn more. In the spring of 2017, after having met online and spending time getting to know each other via phone, Lucy and Drew met for their first date at a quirky cocktail lounge in Cleveland, Ohio. In the following months, the pair would continue to get to know each another, one date after the next! Drew planned wonderful outings from picnics on Edgewater Hill, a celebration at L'Albatros, orchestra performance excursions at Blossom, and even helped resolve a pesky flat-tire accident. Over time, whether checking out Cousin's Picnics on the east side or chasing a sunset on Catawba Island, though, these two most enjoyed spending time sampling food or drink, listening to new music, or laughing over coffee together. In December of 2018, Drew proposed to Lucy in the special place back where they first met, and their devotion to one another deepened. We are ever so excited for you to help us celebrate our love, in the city we call home, as we begin our lives together as husband + wife.
