How We Met

09.04.21

Shawn and Maria's love story began in the most unexpected of places - their workplace. Maria, a fresh-faced new employee, couldn't help but notice Shawn's exhausted appearance as he passed by her department each morning. Something in her heart told her to brighten his day and make him smile. Their relationship did not grow further until they met at the Angel game with co-workers. Shawn, seeking companionship, started to notice the attention coming from Maria and found that he wanted more. As time progressed Maria found herself inviting Shawn out whenever she had the chance and Shawn was very excited to be invited and wanted to spend time with Maria. Maria eagerly invited Shawn into her world at every opportunity, and he enthusiastically embraced her warmth and charm. Laughter and cherished moments kindled their bond, like a gentle love song playing in their hearts. With courage pulsing through their veins, they surrendered to the allure of their growing love. They leaped into a world where their hearts beat as one, forging an unbreakable bond and longing for a lifetime together. Yet life had its surprises. Shawn's promotion to Maria's manager brought a hint of anxiety. But their fierce and unwavering love conquered any obstacles that came their way. As whispers of their connection spread through the office, a secret love blossomed, understanding that every stolen moment was worth the risk. Their love shone brighter than any shadows that tried to dim its light, inspiring them to protect what they cherished most. Now, on the precipice of their extraordinary chapter, Shawn and Maria invite you to witness their remarkable love story. Join them as they embark on a lifelong journey filled with promises and eternal love. Together, they show us that unexpected encounters can lead to an extraordinary love story.

The Proposal

03.18.23

On a cozy evening, Shawn and Maria shared a moment of reflection over a glass of wine, immersed in the glow of their favorite TV show. The atmosphere shifted when a jewelry commercial flickered on the screen, prompting Shawn to question the traditional gender roles in proposals. In response, Maria, with a smile, proposed a deal: she would be the one to propose first, but the traditional proposal from Shawn would still follow. A pact sealed with smiles and an agreement. With a deep understanding of their connection, Maria wasted no time in the pursuit of a men's engagement ring. Coincidentally, Shawn had planned a weekend getaway to San Diego for Maria's birthday, setting the stage for Maria's surprise proposal. Having secured the ring and sought Shawn's parents' blessings, they embarked on their journey to San Diego, each harboring secrets and surprises. While Shawn suggested a lunch in Little Italy, Maria had envisioned a beachside proposal after a scooter ride. Yet, a few more drinks than planned led Shawn to express discomfort with the scooter idea. Maria, quick on her feet, redirected the plan to a downtown San Diego Speakeasy, opting for a proposal over dinner. As they settled in, Maria, anxious yet determined, excused herself for a bathroom break to gather her nerves. However, upon returning to her seat, Maria realized the Speakeasy was drinks-only, throwing a curveball into her carefully laid plan. Undeterred, she improvised, deciding it wasn't the right place. Once outside, they strolled hand in hand, Shawn suggesting another drink. Realizing time was of the essence, Maria, with laughter echoing in her head, seized the moment. On the streets of San Diego, she spontaneously dropped to one knee, clad in a red dress and a Happy Birthday crown, holding a ring. Caught off guard, Shawn turned to find Maria on bended knee, a mix of nerves and happiness was painted across her face. Overwhelmed with emotion, he asked if she was kidding. Maria, in the midst of San Diego's night, wearing a birthday crown, holding a ring, replied, "No, I am not kidding." In that surreal moment, Shawn's eyes welled with tears, and Maria's nerves gave way to joy. A sweet "yes" exchanged, sealed with a kiss and tears of happiness, their love story continued under the stars of San Diego, forever marked by a surprise proposal in the heart of the city.
