How We Met

✨For quite some time, Linnea and John resided within a mile of each other. It took a bit of assistance from the Universe, along with their shared membership at Anytime Fitness and the COVID shutdown, to finally bring them together. ✨

Why Maroon Bells?

6/14/20

During the initial weeks (or perhaps months), Linnea and John were practically inseparable. However, the COVID shutdown significantly restricted their activities. Despite this, they managed to find ways to spend time together. They visited the golf range, embarked on hikes (including conquering a 14er), and ventured to Maroon Bells, taking the scenic route via Independence Pass. It was during this trip that John introduced Linnea to Illenium, who has since become their favorite artist. Linnea initially questioned John's choice of music, saying "I don’t understand why you listen to such sad music?" Little did they know this would forever be the soundtrack to their relationship. (And the songs aren’t ALL sad). The Maroon Bells is such a magical place, a place where they started falling in love. Four years later they are becoming one at the very spot it all began.

A Note About Our Wedding Plans

Dear Family & Friends, We hope this message finds you well. After much consideration, we've decided to opt for a more non-traditional approach to our wedding registry. Rather than registering for specific gifts, your presence is what matters most. We understand that everyone's circumstances are different, and we want to emphasize that your presence at our wedding is the most important gift to us. However, for those who have expressed a desire to contribute in a more tangible way, we've set up a modest fund for a 2025 honeymoon and our future home. Please know that any contribution, no matter how big or small, will be received with immense gratitude and will go directly towards the specified fund. We want to reiterate that your presence and well wishes mean the world to us, and we are incredibly grateful to have such wonderful people in our lives. With love and appreciation, Linnea & John

Wedding Party

Linnea Lindroth

Bride

John Thompson

Groom

Jordan Towne

Best Man

John and Jordan's friendship dates all the way back to second grade, and their bond has only grown stronger over the years. Through all the twists and turns they remain connected, bonding over NHL games on PlayStation, cheering for the Colorado Avalanche, and enjoying occasional rounds of golf. They consistently support each other through life's challenges and there's never a dull moment when they are together!

Shane Monteferrante

Best Man

John met Shane in college at Pacific Lutheran University. They immediately hit it off and became teammates and friends. After school, Shane reached out and asked John if he wanted to rent a room in the house he was purchasing. John leapt at the opportunity without hesitation. They always confide in each other and want the others opinion when it comes to just about anything. John had the honor of being Shane's Best Man at his recent wedding, and now Shane reciprocates by serving as one of John's Best Men.

Dustin Berg

Best Man

John and Dustin initially crossed paths in club soccer at the Real Colorado Soccer Club, under the guidance of the same coach. Although they were initially on different age-group teams, their friendship solidified when they became teammates at Douglas County High School. Their bond, forged on the soccer field, has endured over the years, with both continuing to play soccer together on the same indoor team. They both share a love for golf, Avalanche Hockey, and soccer. John had the honor of standing by Dustin's side at his wedding, and now, reciprocating the gesture, Dustin proudly stands beside John at his own wedding.

Michael Scaff

Officiant

Mike played a significant role in bringing Linnea and John together. As the owner of the Anytime Fitness where Linnea and John are members, Mike's welcoming demeanor and positive energy influenced their decision to join. Known for his boundless energy, positivity, down-to-earth nature, and devotion to family, Mike quickly became a cherished figure in their lives. When Linnea and John got engaged, there was no doubt in their minds that they wanted Mike to officiate their wedding, a testament to the special bond they share.

Caitlin Thompson

Best Woman

Caitlin, John's younger sister, is credited by Linnea for keeping her youthful. Since their introduction, Linnea has acquired three vibrant wigs, numerous outfits, and intricate makeup for EDM concerts. Caitlin epitomizes creativity, crafting her own Halloween costumes and creating artworks. She has also embarked on learning Swedish! Linnea is immensely grateful for her close bond with Caitlin and eagerly awaits becoming her sister-in-law.

Annika Tompkins

Best Woman

Annika, Linnea's older sister, resides in Coral Springs, FL, with her husband Chad and their 12-year-old son, Hunter. During their cousin Amy's wedding in 2010, they encountered a store whose pronunciation puzzled them: Meijer. Despite its correct pronunciation as "MAY-ER," they humorously dubbed it "MEE-HER," giving rise to their endearing nicknames for each other. Therefore, whenever you hear "Meijer," it's either Annika addressing Linnea or Linnea addressing Annika.

Ashleigh Enriquez

Best Woman

Ashleigh and Linnea have known each other since 2013, both being Aries and recognizing their instant connection as destined best friends. Ashleigh, characterized by her free-spirited and light-hearted nature, and Linnea have stood by each other through their toughest moments, forging an unbreakable bond between them.
