One of our first dates was a beautiful picnic down by the creek on his parents property. He surprised me with twinkle lights, a hammock, and homemade sandwich rolls. The way he asked me to marry him was a photo shoot recreating that date. He used a sign and wrote “will you marry me” on it. We were both shaking so hard it took a minute to put the ring on.
