Lexi and Drew met at Cheyenne Mountain High School in science class, and Drew was like “Are you into science? Because I LAB you!” Well, that’s not exactly what happened, but they both could have sworn they had a class together because they had major chemistry. (ba-dum ching) Ok, enough of the puns... Lexi and Drew’s story starts exactly one decade ago. While most high school relationships come and quickly go, Lexi and Drew are the rare and coveted classic high school sweethearts. They met at Cheyenne Mountain High School in science class in 2014 and both felt an instant connection. Lexi and Drew started off with a solid friendship foundation, which slowly progressed that year. They both had so much to talk about and felt everything come so naturally. Over the years they hiked, traveled, attended many school functions, proms and dances. Then in 2020, Lexi and Drew made a decision to part ways. Lexi wanted to pursue college in Denver and Drew wanted to explore possibilities in Durango. This decision was short lived and soon after Lexi joined Drew in Durango for a few months until they both returned home to Colorado Springs. In 2020, Lexi and Drew were engaged and in 2021, they welcomed their first son, Wes Jacob Chadwick and not long after that they welcomed their second son Heath Holland Chadwick. They were both so eager to start a family together that the engagement was pushed out a few years. But now, in 2024, they are ready to solidify their love and longstanding commitment in front of their friends, family and children. Let’s celebrate Lexi and Drew on August 17 as their next chapter together begins.
We are doing a pre ceremony cocktail hour at 3pm since people are being shuttled up to the house. The actual ceremony will start at 3:30pm. Parking and being shuttled up can start as early as 2:30pm
While the ceremony is outdoors, it is a semi-formal occasion. Some attire ideas of what would be appropriate would include sundresses, polo shirts, and slacks, etc.
The entire event (ceremony and reception) will take place outdoors. Please come prepared and bring any necessities you feel you may need, for example sunscreen, a hat, bug repellent, or a jacket or shawl.
Transportation will be provided. When you arrive to Cheyenne Canyon there will be signs before the nature center for where to park and you will be shuttled up.
No, it is limited parking at the house. Please do not drive up.
Due to space/constraints or safety restrictions, we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding
It will be buffet style and include a variety of both meat and vegetarian options.
Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
Please no pictures during the ceremony, but go photo crazy at the reception! Disposal cameras will be on the tables, please take as many pictures as you can, just make sure the flash is on. This is a very fun way to get special pictures for the bride and groom.
Yes, there will be an open bar, but if you feel inclined to tip the bartender then feel free to come prepared for that.
