Welcome to our wedding! Embrace your adventurous spirit with us and our remote wedding celebration. There is no cell service so make sure you search load your directions before you lose cell service. Detailed Directions to Wedding Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gHjE3gfWYNQmN8n57 Ceremony is at the Carter Meadows Group Campground. Google Maps does not have this location. Recommend searching Hidden Horse Campground or Carter Meadows Summit. If searching "Hidden Horse Campground" Carter Meadows Group Camp is about a half mile before Hidden Horse Campground. You wont miss it! There will be signs. If searching "Carter Meadows Summit" This is where the Pacific Crest Trail Crosses! You are almost there. Continue along the Callahan-Cecilville Road about a mile. There will be a road on the left! Take it. Detailed directions to Reception. The reception will be held at the Mt. Bolivar Grange in Callahan, CA. On Google Maps it can be found as Callahan Hall. From the ceremony, you continue back towards Callahan on the Callahan-Cecilville Rd. When you get to Highway 3, make a right into the town of Callahan. You will not miss it!
There is no public transportation available in our mountain region of California. A vehicle is necessary. If you are flying in, a rental car is required.
Hotels in Scott Valley are limited. There are generally a few rooms available in Etna, CA. The biggest towns for hotels are Mt. Shasta and Yreka, both are about an hour away from the reception and require you to drive over a mountain pass. We recommend looking at AirBnB or the numerous Bed and Breakfasts in Scott Valley. The towns to search are Etna, Fort Jones, and Callahan. Our best recommendation for our out-of-town guests is to embrace our spirit for adventure and bring camping gear or your travel trailer! There are numerous places for camping nearby. Please feel free to reach out for recommendations.
Welcome to our wedding in the woods! June weather is hot but the wedding will take place at about 6000 feet. Depending on the winter, snow could still possibly be on the ground. Garden Attire: Wear sundresses, floral prints. Think a nature theme combination of forest fairy/garden party. Please avoid wearing dark green/olive dresses. This is a campground and the ceremony is out in a field. Please keep the ground in mind when choosing your footwear. Men: Please wear clean, nice pants with button downs.
We absolutely love children, especially well-behaved ones. Please feel welcome to bring your littles but it is recommended that you keep an eye on them as the wedding will be in nature.
We have invited our family, friends, and loved ones. We completely understand if you are unable to attend. We wish we could celebrate with you!
