Attire can be anywhere in the Cocktail to Formal range. Have fun with the theme! Star/Space/Sparkle elements are encouraged as long as they fall in the Cocktail to Formal range.
If you are a video game fan and/or live music fan arrive early! We have hired an amazing trio to play some of our favorite songs live starting at 2:15 before the ceremony. Our Ceremony will start at 3:00 Both the Ceremony and Reception will be held at the same location. Cocktail hour to be held after ceremony from 3:30 to 4:30 with reception to follow.

Shuttle from Rodeway Inn to The Parker Mill

You may need to copy/paste this link to the form: https://forms.gle/6JWAmrxjyZrHBPbM7 We have one 29-passenger shuttle that will make two outgoing and two return trips only at the posted times. Please be in the hotel lobby 5 minutes before the bus arrives! Outgoing Trips from the Rodeway Inn and Suites: Trip 1: Pick up at 1:40 pm Trip 2: Pick up time at 2:25 pm Return Trips from the Parker Mill: Trip 1: Pick up time at 9:10 pm Trip 2: Pick up time at 9:45 pm If you would like to take advantage of the shuttle you can park at the Rodeway Inn and Suites to catch the shuttle. The shuttle will only drive between this hotel and the venue but you are welcome to hop on even if you stay at a different hotel or AirBnB! Just keep in mind it will not stop at any other hotels/accommodations. The Parker Mill has a very steep gravel mountain road to its parking lot, so if you want to avoid driving up it we highly recommend taking the shuttle.

On the day of the wedding we will have shuttle service that runs between this hotel and the venue. We highly recommend staying at this hotel and taking advantage of our shuttle. Please click on the View button below for the Hotels website! As of May our hotel block has expired. If there is availability, you can still stay at this hotel to take advantage of the shuttle. We recommend staying for two nights - Friday, Nov 8th and Saturday, Nov 9th.

Asheville Regional Airport
Asheville Regional Airport is the nearest airport to our hotel. It is an hour and 10 minute drive from the airport to our hotel, so plan to rent a car or carpool with family.

Question
Are the roads open to go up to Western North Carolina?
Answer
For our wedding, Yes! We have drove from Concord to the Parker Mill and from the Parker Mill to Raleigh on October 14th. Interstates and Highways are operating without issue.
Question
What is there to do in the area?
Answer
Due to hurricane Helene many popular attractions and destinations are closed. However, Jackson county has many small businesses that were largely unaffected and will be open. We highly encourage checking out some of the small businesses in the area! Dillsboro has many cute shops and restaurants we highly encourage checking out! (Including the restaurant that is catering for us, Forager's Canteen.)
Question
Do I have to stay at the Rodeway Inn and Suites on the River?
Answer
No! You are free to stay in any accommodation in the area. However the Rodeway Inn and Suites on the river is the only accommodation we have blocked rooms for, and will be the only place offering shuttle service directly to and from our venue on the day of the wedding. If you live in state and are fine with the drive you can also just head up for the day on Saturday. Just keep in mind that our ceremony begins in the afternoon and our reception will continue into the evening.

Super Mario Galaxy 1&2
We'll have a ton of Mario Galaxy elements throughout the wedding, so this one is highly recommended! These were some of Lauren's favorite games growing up! From the game play, to the music and atmosphere these games are packed with charm and wonder!
Splatoon
Where Griffin and Lauren met! Griffin and Lauren played in a small group together in the summer of 2015 over Skype. It was a perfect mix of the shooter games Griffin enjoys with the Nintendo flair that Lauren loves. A perfect middle ground for the both of us! (This doesn't just mean 1, give Splatoon 3 a try if you are looking to get into the series now!)
Your Name
One of our favorite movies! Without giving too much away, the plot follows two teens figuring out strange phenomenon linking them together. The visuals and direction is jaw droppingly beautiful, and the music will be stuck in your head for days/weeks after! No matter if you watch the original Japanese version or the English dub, you'll have an amazing experience with so much care and love put into it. (And if you do end up liking it we also recommend the directors other works, Weathering with you and Suzume)
The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
One of the most romantic Zelda games! This game has amazing art direction, dungeon design and some of the best music in the series! (In Lauren's opinion) If you are a Zelda fan and haven't given this one a shot, take this as a sign to do so! If possible we recommend playing the remake version as it mitigates a lot of the issues the original Wii version has.
