This is meant to be as exactly as it sounds - a very chill recovery day. We are HIGHLY encouraging our friends and family to consider staying until Monday to take in the beauty of the Catskills and of Windham, NY. You can hang with us at the Lake House or go out exploring after brunch, or even head home if you must, but would love for you all be able to unwind and take in the beautiful surrounding nature. We may bring in some massage therapists for some extra relaxation following brunch and ask that you bring cash with you if you plan to partake. Thank you!

If coming from NYC and you don't want to drive the whole time, you can catch a train NY Penn Station in NYC. It takes about 2h 30min by train and should run hourly. You will arrive at Albany-Rensselaer Amtrak Station, which is about an hour away from Windham, NY. The train should cost about $27–95 USD. Then, you will either need a car rental or take a taxi from there.

A nice, easy hike to take in some of Windham's beauty. The Windham Path is a family-friendly public 1.5-mile looping trail located off Route 23 just outside the village of Windham. An additional parking lot is located on Route 296 near the intersection of South Street. A third of a mile trail connects the two pathways. The Windham Path provides access to the pristine Batavia Kill stream in Windham. The trail roams through peaceful fields along the woodlands and streams and provides picturesque views of the Great Northern Catskills.
Panoramic 5 State Lookout along the Mohican Trail, Rt 23. An area maintained by New York State, views of the Hudson River Valley and 5 states. On a clear day, the panoramic view from this location encompasses the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, the Helderberg Mountains of New York and the Connecticut Valley.
This beautiful and unique property has been family owned and operated for over 150 years. The standing barn was built in 1918. It was the first of it's kind at the time, holding twice the head count of other nearby operations. The farm is located in the Northern Catskills, 7 miles from Windham, NY. Residing on over 600 acres and bordered by the Ashland Pinnacle State Forest and Huntersfield State Forest. Mountain Top Arboretum is a public garden in the Catskill Mountains dedicated to displaying and managing native plant communities of the northeastern US, in addition to curating its collection of cold-hardy native and exotic trees. Its mountain top elevation of 2,400 feet at the top of the New York City Watershed creates a unique environment for education, research and pure enjoyment of the spectacular and historic Catskills landscape. The Arboretum trails and boardwalks connect 200 acres of plant collections, meadows, wetlands, forest and Devonian bedrock—a natural sanctuary for visitors interested in horticulture, birding, geology, local craftsmanship & hiking!
The 1,355-acre Elm Ridge Wild Forest is located in the northeast corner of the Catskill Forest Preserve. The unit contains a 1.5-mile portion of the Escarpment Trail, the 1.1-mile long Elm Ridge Trail, and numerous other trails totaling more than 25 miles available for multiple uses, including hiking, cross-country skiing, and mountain biking. There are two parking areas that serve the unit, one on NYS Route 23 to the northwest and the other at the end of Peck Road to the south.

Yes, each singular guest is welcome to bring a plus one. Invited couples, of course, already count as a pair and cannot bring an additional person. Your RSVP option should include all who are included in your invitation.

We are getting married at a lake house surrounded by nature and there may be slippery surfaces. We are also requesting guests to wear fall colors. It is recommended to bring a shawl or some kind of additional layer, as the temperature may drop when the sun goes down.
We are asking guests to arrive at 4pm; our ceremony will follow soon after. Our cocktail hour should start by 5pm, followed by our reception which should start around 6pm, followed by speeches, dinner, dancing, etc. For those who have a bit of extra gusto, we will also have an after party that will start at 11pm with late night bites, dance music and more dancing! The after party will go until 2am, which is when the last shuttle will come.
Due to the layout of the venue and the vehicles needed onsite by vendors, parking the day of the wedding (Saturday) will be limited to immediate family, bridal party and folks staying on the property. We will arrange shuttles for pick-up / drop-off at our preferred hotels. If you are staying somewhere else, you will need to arrange for a lift or local taxi to get you there before the ceremony. Please arrange this in advance, as Lyft & Uber is not readily available locally. For our farewell brunch / recovery day, parking onsite will be available on a first come, first served basis.

A bit of both! We are planning (weather permitting) to have our ceremony outdoors surrounded by trees in a beautiful forest nook. The cocktail hour to follow will also be outdoors. The reception will be in a tent outside, with some components being outside. The after party will also be in the tent. The Farewell Brunch / Recovery Day will be a mix of indoors and outdoors.
