We met at a friends get together in college. It was Jordans second year and my first. We initially started talking about what classes we were taking, what we were majoring in and where we moved from. We were so surprised to find out that our families lived so close to each other. We exchanged numbers and met up to see "Straight Outta Compton" at the movies that following week. Jordan asked me to come over for breakfast the next morning and we've been inseparable ever since.

Last March we took our first big trip out of the country to Rome. The third day of our trip, we went to the amazingly green, Borghese Gardens. The Gardens were filled with people playing music, horses being ridden across the grass, and a beautiful lake in the middle. As we walked through the park, I noticed there were people on boats in the lake and, how fun does that sound? Jordan quickly noted that was exactly where we were headed. We met what Jordan called "the boat man" and he kindly helped us onto our boat. Jordan rowed us out into a sunny spot in the middle of the lake and pulled out a folded piece of paper from his coat pocket. He read the most beautiful poem and then asked me to marry him. I said "YES!" and we celebrated the happiest moment of our lives on that beautiful lake in the middle of Rome. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
