Korey and Freeman first met in high school in 2010. As the new kid, Freeman did his best to win her over, but Korey was far more focused on friends, academics, and basketball than romance. Despite his charm, she remained uninterested—at least at first. But fate had other plans. Everything started to change after their first official date at Olive Garden, though Freeman still swears she only said yes for the endless breadsticks! As they transitioned from high school to college, Korey beginning at Southwestern University and Freeman at Texas A&M, they grew closer while evolving from awkward teens into inseparable partners. Korey made the move to Texas A&M a couple of years later, where they eventually both graduated from. After graduation, life led them down different paths to begin their careers - Freeman in Texas and Korey in South Carolina. Despite the miles between them, their relationship flourished through late-night calls, heartfelt messages, and spontaneous road trips. Now, 15 years later, they reflect on their journey with gratitude for patience, persistence, luck, and of course - endless breadsticks. Their time apart only deepened their passion for exploration, shaping them into a couple unafraid to take risks and embrace the unfamiliar. Whether relocating across the country, discovering new destinations, or venturing into uncharted experiences together, they have approached life with unwavering resolve, knowing that no distance, challenge, or unforeseen detour can hinder their journey. Over time, they’ve come to understand that love is not just about being together, but about evolving, persevering, and navigating life’s unpredictability as a team. Now, with their biggest adventure yet on the horizon, Korey and Freeman are ready to begin their next chapter as husband and wife. Surrounded by the family and friends who have supported them along the way, they can’t wait to celebrate their love and the journey that brought them here.
