It all started at a pep rally in high school. I was the new kid in school and didn't know anyone. Chris happened to be sitting near me and noticed I was extra quiet. He turned to me and said, "You look like you have a lot of school spirit!" And his sarcastic sense of humor made me laugh. After that, we noticed we had a few classes together and got to know one another more. The sarcasm and laughter hasn't changed since, and the rest is history.

On my birthday, Chris and I spent the day together and went to the aquarium. After that, he told me to dress nice because we were going to a really nice restaurant in town called The Bottle. It was the best meal ever! We then walked downtown in Huntsville, which is the place where we had our first date. At the fountain, Chris knelt on one knee and I said "YES, OF COURSE!!"
