Walter & Khanequa met on the dating app Plenty of Fish (PoF). He messaged her first ;) After about a month of talking on the phone, texting and video chatting, they had their first date on October 31, 2015. They visited the Newark Museum and had dinner at Cuban Pete's. Soon after, Walter was introduced to Khanequa's 2 boys, Maxwell and Isaiah and that was the beginning of their blended family. In November 2016 they welcomed a daughter, Kailyn Queen and were engaged in April 2018. The family moved to their forever home in Egg Harbor Township in the Fall of 2018. They love hosting their extended family and friends... especially at Thanksgiving :)
It was a typical Saturday afternoon, and the family decided to take a trip to the Ocean County Mall to do some shopping. After all the 2nd annual Robinson Family Disney World trip was coming up, and so was Walter's best friend's Vegas wedding! Sears was going out of business, so they went inside to browse around. First stop... the jewelry counter! Walter said he wanted to find a nice pair of diamond earrings for Khanequa. Her response? "I don't want earrings, I want THIS!" Walter walked over to the other side of the counter where Khanequa was standing to have a look. She was looking at engagement rings. Initially, Walter thought that he should wait to get her something bigger, but eventually obliged his new fiancé... and STILL got her the earrings too :) The couple originally planned to wed on 10/10/2020 (like many other couples, apparently), but life threw a few wrenches in that plan. A pandemic was thrown on top of the normal chaos that is a blended family, but by focusing on each other and clinging to the things that matter to them both - family, legacy, and a long lasting, fullfilling relationship, they ultimately decided that 2022 was the year they would make it OFFICIALLY official, and become husband and wife.
