We met through a mutual friend in the summer of 2020. We were both at different points in our lives, so nothing came of our run ins with each other. We finally started dating at the perfect time for us: August 28th, 2022!
On our 6 month anniversary, Jamie popped the question before going to our dinner date. Of course, the answer was “Yes”!

Yes! We would love your children to attend the ceremony and reception. Children are the life of the party! Please respect our wishes for children to be respectful throughout the entire event. Our guests need to make sure that their children do not go near the pond on the property, especially by themselves. This is a possible liability and we do not want anyone getting hurt!
Unfortunately, no. Before the ceremony people are allowed to have carry-ins (no glass) but once the ceremony begins there are to be no alcohol or food that is not provided by us. There will be a bar serving various forms of alcohol and sodas. Sorry, no red wines will be provided to avoid damage to the barn. If there is a special diet or allergy that we should be aware of, please let us know. If we are not able to accommodate then certain individuals will be able to bring their own food items.
Yes, the ceremony will take place outside by an arbor. The reception will take place near the arbor, inside the barn. The bar is located outside the barn. We would recommend checking the weather beforehand to make sure that you dress accordingly. Since the wedding is in June, it should be warm enough to not need layers, but please check the weather beforehand!
Cigarettes are allowed only in one area behind the bar where there will be a place to put them out. Even though the event is in Michigan, there is absolutely no consumption of marijuana allowed whether it is medicinal or recreational. Unfortunately, people may be asked to leave if they do not follow these rules.
Due to city ordinances, the reception will end at 11p.m.
Our venue requires a final headcount a few months before our big day. We request that RSVP’s be submitted no later than March 1st, 2025.
People are allowed to leave their vehicles overnight, but they must retrieve them by Sunday morning. There are lots available for dry camping if people would like to use campers instead of using a hotel to sleep at.
Yes, there are several places to stay at that include a hotel, motels and vacation home rentals.

Guests will need to plan ahead of time what their transportation to and from the wedding will be.
It is “dressy casual”. You don’t need to dress fancy, just remember that it’s a wedding! A dress, nice pants (jeans, slacks, dress pants), button down shirt, polo or anything that is a ‘cleaner’ outfit than a casual one will work! As a reminder, the ceremony takes place outside and the reception will be in the barn. Make sure to check the weather beforehand to see what will be most fitting for the temperature and weather expected!
Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. The official start time will be shown on the invites and on the website. You can arrive more than 15 minutes beforehand to accommodate for parking, finding a seat at the ceremony or just visiting with other guests!
