Only 9 minutes from the venue, this hotel is perfect for convenience and affordability. The per night cost doesn't appear to go over $130, and can go as low as $99 per night. Room with another guest you know to split the cost and have a fun and inexpensive visit to VA.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Farmville, an IHG Hotel
Only 7 minutes from the venue, this is also a great option for affordability and convenience. If you're planning on rooming with others to cut the cost or to have familiar faces around, this hotel appears to have rooms that fit larger groups than the other options. A 2 Queen and sofa bed with extra floor space is only $151 and fits 6 people. Rates for some others are even less expensive.
Flight
EWR to RIC round trip
EWR is in Newark NJ and is probably the closest airport to most of our Jersey guests. We have both used United Airlines to get from Richmond to Newark and vice versa. RIC is an easy airport to navigate, and is only 1hr and 14min from the venue. It is a very short flight and then approximately a 1hr and 15min drive to farmville/the venue. This is also a very inexpensive plane ride, where we have gotten round-trip tickets for less than $100 if ordered early enough.

High Bridge Trail
Approximately 10minutes from the venue, High bridge state park is a beautiful and easy trail for anyone in the family to enjoy. Go to the Camp Paradise parking lot if you want to be ONLY 0.3 miles away from the an amazing view, and a fun walk on the bridge. Enjoy nature in your time in VA and check out this, or any other trail especially if you are a guest visiting VA for the first time.

Want to watch a movie to pass some time? Head to Sunchase Cinema 8 located right across from the Holiday Inn!
Main Street Lanes
Is it too cold or you just don't want to explore the beautiful outdoors in VA? No problem, head on over to Main St. Lanes and go bowling! Get some friends you know that are coming to the wedding and spend some time relaxing and blasting some pins!

What are the rules for alcohol and cigarettes?
Answer
We have agreed to keep this as a dry wedding. Therefore, there will be no alcohol served, and it is NOT BYOB. Any form of cigarettes or other items used to smoke are not welcome either. If you are found using any of the above at the venue, you will be asked to leave.

What is the cellphone and device policy?
Answer
Please keep your phones/devices on silent and put them away during the ceremony. We would appreciate it if you didn't take them out at all during the ceremony, and please refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony. This allows for more natural photos from the professional photographer and a better video from the videographer. After the ceremony you are welcome to use your phone and we would love to take pictures with you at the reception.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony starts at 01:30 P.M. EST, so please plan to be there no later than 01:15 P.M. EST.

Are kids, dates, or others not on the invitation welcome?
Answer
Unfortunately due to the size of the venue, the fire code only allows us to have a certain amount of guests. Our guest list is built based off that number, so we would greatly appreciate it if you would refrain from bringing anyone not on the guest list.
