How We Met
We met in line for a rooftop bar overlooking San Francisco. True story!
The Proposal
As you all can imagine, building a life together during a pandemic can introduce unexpected restrictions on firsts. For our first international trip, we decided to go to Japan. On our last full day there, we unexpectedly found ourselves in the historic city of Nara (a story for another time), known for cracker-munching deer that roam the entire city. Nara was beautiful and the deer were delightful, even when swarming Kate! At one point we escaped the deer madness and discovered the most beautiful garden we have seen - lush waterfalls, vibrant foliage, a traditional tea house overlooking a crystal-clear pond, and plenty of opportunities for private moments. After hiking up to a small clearing above the garden, Trevor pops the question and Kate, speechless and wonderfully surprised, says yes. With that, our journey of building a life together continues, and we are delighted to share the next step with each and every one of you.

Question
How do I book a cabin?
Answer
Cabin reservations are available beginning May 21. We have exclusive use of the venue, and there are enough cabins available to accommodate any and all interested. Cabins sleep 2-4 each with multiple configurations. All cabins are powered, heated, have private indoor bathrooms, are very near the main lodge and by all accounts are quite comfortable. Cabins can only be rented for one night. Please contact Jill at jillcsousa@gmail.com for all reservations and any additional questions on availability, configurations, cost, etc.

What if I need accommodations for two nights?
Answer
We encourage as many guests as possible to rent a cabin the night of the wedding to promote community and kinship. For those traveling to the area on Friday, we recommend staying in Santa Cruz (about 30 minutes from the venue) for the best balance of comfort, value, amenities, and proximity.
