Kahai and Laura met thirteen years ago during Laura's freshman and Kahai's sophomore year of college at GCU in Arizona. They met at a college party and they both had a big crush on each other but nothing ever came of it. They reconnected three years ago in Colorado when Kahai messaged Laura about where she went ice skating that day. Soon after, they went on their first date and closed the place down. That next week they were inseparable, going on multiple dates, to Kahai's coworker's birthday party, and to his best friend's engagement party. They had Monday off from work, so they drove up to the mountains on a date to Keystone to celebrate Valentine's Day with ice skating, dinner, and drinks by the frozen lake. By the end of the long weekend, Kahai had asked Laura to be his valentine and girlfriend. The rest is history!
Kahai asked Laura to marry him while on a hike with friends at Chautauqua. After Kahai popped the question, they stopped for a champagne toast before heading down. Little did Laura know, her best friend was waiting for them at the end of the hike. They celebrated at the restaurant at the bottom of the mountain and there a table was ready and decorated with rose petals. 🤍
