A Message From the Couple

Welcome to the start of our Forever!

We can't wait to share our special day with you. Experience our love story and find all the details you need to know about our big day, right here. God bless & see you at the Altar!

How We Met

First comes school, then comes marriage

Brooke was studying at Ithaca College while Justin was doing his Masters at Cornell University. Both schools sat in the hills of Ithaca NY. In 2017, they met at a local college bar with 200 other people in it. They exchanged numbers, but little did they know they wouldn’t use them until 3 years later. Justin clearly never forgot about Brooke because in 2020 Justin messaged Brooke with a simple, “Hi.” The rest is history, they started talking, then dating, then Justin finally popped the question in 2023.

Our Engagement

11.16.2023

Justin had meticulously organized his proposal to Brooke, as the planner he is. Knowing she loved sunsets, he arranged a night of dinner and drinks with friends in Sag Harbor. With the sun setting in the background and the sound of gentle waves lapping the shore, Justin dropped to one knee and presented Brooke with a stunning engagement ring. Brooke gasped in surprise and delight, her hands flying to cover her mouth. Tears of joy streamed down her cheeks as emotions poured over Justin, expressing his love and commitment. "Brooke, will you marry me?" he asked, his voice filled with anticipation. Overwhelmed with emotion, Brooke nodded enthusiastically, unable to find her voice. The nerves took over and all Brooke could say was, "AH, oh my God, I hate you". Which in Brooke's language meant, "I am so happy, I love you so much." Justin slipped the ring onto her finger, and they embraced tightly, savoring the magical moment. As they stood there, the colors of the sunset painting the sky above them, they knew that this day would forever be etched in their hearts as the beginning of their journey together as husband and wife.

Heather Gordon

Maid of Honor

Heather is Brooke’s older sister, or as they put it “God given best friends.” Since when they were little til now, they have been each other's "safe zone;" they knew they could go to each other for anything and everything. Heather inspires Brooke with her love for God and other people. Even though Brooke is the younger sister they both look up to each other. This past November, Brooke got to stand by Heathers side as her maid of honor. As Heather and Brooke begin new chapters in their lives and watch their families grow, they always know that their home will be with each other. Sisters and best friends for life.

Matthew Moyka

Best Man

Meet Matthew, the Groom's Best Man. Like most of the Buffalo crew, they met through Schussmeisters Ski Club, but it was during the COVID lockdown they really got close. House hopping for weeks on end, Justin was able to experience Matthews breakfast routine which was piping hot coffee (if it doesn't burn his mouth he needs to pour it out) and last night's dinner cold. Nothing like a cold piece of lasagna at 7:30am... Now you can catch Matthew and Justin running late to early morning tee times and figuring out how they can convince Eric to build a golf simulator at his house. They’re truly like brothers, “the brother you didn’t ask for but got anyway.”

Brooke Dempster

Bridesmaid

BrookeX2 met 5 years ago and instantly became inseparable. They filled those years with many road trips, screaming songs until their voices gave out, dancing on rooftops, and always laughing. Two peas in a pod would be an understatement when it comes to these two, they are twins from different mothers. Their bond is unbreakable, you would think they had spent their whole lives together. The two Brookes will cause mayhem forever.

Matthew Leanza

Groomsman

Introducing Matt, the man of the hour's brother and trusty sidekick. When he's not busy hitting the slopes or tracking game, you can find him lending a hand with wedding preparations or cracking jokes that only siblings could understand. With his adventurous spirit and unwavering loyalty, he's ready to stand by the groom's side as they embark on this next chapter of life.

Emma Dolan

Bridesmaid

Emma and Brooke began their friendship during their freshman year of college, and their bond has only grown stronger over the years. Making memories and growing into adults together allowed them to know each other like most others don't. Their shared experiences have created an unbreakable connection, filled with cherished memories that they hold dear, some of which are so special they'll forever remain between them. A bond that only roommates can share. They say you should never be roommates with your friends, well it’s good that Emma and Brooke are more like sisters.

Brian Leanza

Groomsman

Introducing the groom's brother and resident tech guru, Brian! When he's not busy explaining scam emails to the confused elders at family gatherings, you can find him cruising around in his self-driving Tesla, probably arguing with Siri about which route to take. While he may not have the best taste in movies, he's definitely the MVP of the groom's squad. Growing up together has been an adventure and Brian was lucky enough to have a mostly great role model.

Erica Morello

Bridesmaid

Erica met Brooke many moons ago when Brooke was in high school. Over the COVID-19 lockdown, their friendship bloomed and they spent lots of time together… talking about life struggles, God's love, and self-love. That is when the 'Gordello Family' was created and they became sisters. Forming an unconditional love between them. Brooke looks up to Erica as a woman of God, mother, and wife. Erica and Brooke will always be there for each other, like family.

Josh Ulinger

Groomsman

Josh has been one of Justin's best friends ever since they met in college. He was and still is notorious for pulling pranks with Justin's younger brother, Matt. Josh and his wife, Marta frequently travel seven hours to visit Justin and Brooke in Long Island or as Josh calls them 'Boogie and Brianca'. Over the years they grew even closer, gathering at friends' houses for volleyball or competitive cornhole. Josh loves playing basketball, golfing, and competing in Madden. He is excited to celebrate two of his best friends on their big day!

Grace Bowman

Bridesmaid

Brooke and Grace met during their undergrads at Ithaca college. As soon as they met they were bestfriends… Well Brooke thought they were best friend and Grace thought Brooke hated her. Lol all jokes aside, as they went through college together they started to gotten closer and closer. Sharing memories and looking out for eachother. Brookes junior year of college they became roommates and since then their friendship has grown into a sister hood. From dressing up as white claws for Halloween in college, to both being engaged now, there’s nothing Brooke and Grace don’t share with each other. Brooke couldn’t be more blessed that Grace gets to stand by her side to share yet another memory together.

Eric Klemm

Groomsman

Meet Eric, aka the 'Shade Master'. Eric and Justin met in Schussmeisters Ski Club, where they both shared a passion for skiing. A few shared GenEd classes and late nights "studying", they became roommates and then best friends. Eric didn't tell anyone but, he didn't know Justin's real name until living with him for 6 months. When Eric isn't shading Long Island and Florida with his awning company, he and Justin spend weekends hanging out, going on trips, and working on "easy" tasks around his house.

Katie Hileman

Bridesmaid

Katie met Brooke at Rumsey Hall over 10 years ago! Since then, they have been there for each other every step of the way. Their whole friendship they have always looked out for one another and have had so much fun in the process! As best friends, they share life successes, and hardships, reminisce on funny times, and much more, there is nothing that these two don't tell each other. Not even living halfway around the world can stop them. They will be best friends until they are old and grey.

Cole & Matthew

Ring Bearers

Cole Therrien (Left) & Matthew Hinckley (Right) are cousins of the Bride on her mother's side. They love and protect Brooke like a sister. They welcomed Justin into the family with open arms "kinda."

Pastor Brandi Drake

Officiant

Brandi has been the Associate Pastor for Care and Mission since 2009, but she also preaches and runs Bible Studies, Retreats and Moms groups! She talks about faith as a "long obedience in the same direction"- Christ has been the gravitational center of her life for many years. Brandi's MDiv is from Fuller, and she lives with her husband, a cat and a dog - oh, and two sons, who occasionally come home from college to do laundry and take long naps. When she's not at the church, you can find her on the water, or her peloton, or in the kitchen baking something with lots of calories!
