Join us for a group hike the day after our wedding! It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the stunning natural beauty of Stanley together. Details about the specific hike will be announced as we get closer to the date, but we promise a memorable outdoor experience filled with breathtaking views and great company. We hope you can join us for some fun and adventure!
Travel Note
Stanley, Idaho is a small, rural mountain town about 130 miles northeast of Boise, and it holds a special place in our hearts. We love spending time there, especially hiking in the summers. The drive from Boise takes 2.5 to 3 hours and offers breathtaking views. While Stanley is known for its stunning landscapes, it is quite remote, with little to no cell service in many areas. The nearest major airport is Boise (BOI), but travelers can also fly into Sun Valley’s Friedman Memorial Airport, located about 1.5 to 2 hours away, for a shorter drive through the Sawtooth Mountains. Given Stanley’s remoteness, we highly recommend staying for at least two nights to fully enjoy everything the area has to offer, from outdoor adventures to the breathtaking scenery. It’s a beautiful backdrop for our wedding, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you!
Travel Note
Parking at the Stanley Outpost is very limited. If you are able, we highly recommend booking lodging as close to the reception as possible so you can easily walk over. This will make your evening more convenient and enjoyable! Below are our suggestions

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM, so we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to give yourself time to park, find your seat, and settle in before we start.
The dress code is formal attire. This means floor length dresses, suits, or tuxedos. We encourage guests to incorporate the color blue into their outfits as a nod to our wedding theme! Please keep in mind that both wedding venues are on grass, so consider this when choosing your shoes. Additionally, note that it may get colder into the evening, and you will likely want a jacket!

Parking is available at the ceremony location. However, parking at the reception venue is very limited. To ensure there’s enough space for everyone, we kindly ask that only those unable to walk from their lodging use the parking at the reception.

No, there are no Ubers or cabs available in Stanley due to its small size. We recommend considering this when planning your transportation and encourage guests to stay close to the reception venue for a quick walk home to avoid drinking and driving. Your safety is important to us!
There is very limited cell service in Stanley and on the drive there. We recommend downloading directions and anything else you may need access to before leaving Boise or Sun Valley.
Plus ones are included on your RSVP if they were invited. If a guest’s name isn’t listed, we kindly ask that you help us keep the celebration intimate by limiting attendance to close family and friends. Thank you for understanding!
In September, the weather in Stanley, Idaho can vary, with daytime temperatures typically ranging from the mid-60s to low 70s°F, while nights can get quite chilly. We recommend bringing layers to stay comfortable, including warm clothing for the evenings. Don’t forget attire suitable for enjoying the beautiful outdoors, such as comfortable walking shoes, fishing gear, or hiking attire to take advantage of the stunning scenery!
We have everything we need, but if you’d like to give a gift, we would be so grateful for a contribution to our honeymoon fund! We’re planning an adventure to New Zealand and Australia, and your generosity will help make it even more memorable. You can access the honeymoon fund on the registry section of our website.
There will not be a shuttle service. We recommend carpooling if needed, and since there are no Ubers or cabs in Stanley, please plan to stay close to the reception venue for an easy walk to and from the reception if you are able.

The water temp ranges from 98 – 104 depending on the time of year, and what Mother Nature is feeling like providing. Soaking times are by reservation only.

Best Man
Jade is JC’s younger brother and lifelong partner in crime. Growing up in Buhl, they were known to get into trouble together, from hunting for cougars, wrestling, to visiting Blue Heart Springs. Though they now live in different towns, they stay connected through frequent Xbox dates and regular hour long phone calls about fantasy football. Their bond as both brothers and friends is as strong as ever, and JC is honored to have Jade by his side as both a brother and best man on this special day.
Matron of Honor
Emily and Kristen first met through their sorority, where Emily chose Kristen as her little. During college, Emily lived across the street from JC, sparking playful pranks like TPing each other’s houses and decorating the windows with hilarious photos. These moments not only deepened their friendship but also brought JC and Kristen closer together. Emily and Kristen spent their college days soaking up the festivities at Boise State and adventuring through Boise’s trails, even experiencing a few close calls with cars getting stuck while embracing nature. Known for her adventurous spirit and “yes” attitude, Emily has been a constant source of fun and support, and Kristen couldn’t imagine this day without her by her side.
